If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around
Best Experience at a resort period! Treated like royalty. It’s a very big resort so I’m glad you can catch a ride on one of there golf cart things haha. Loads of places to eat at. The places to eat are open for breakfast lunch and dinner at certain times so if you are hungry and they aren’t open there is a hidden sports bar at the back of the resort just ask around for it. The steak house was always packed tight but the food is amazing there. Hibachi wasn’t bad either. Definitely go on excursions if you stay so you can see DR in full. The resort beach is never really packed so you have peace and can drink as much as you want and eat as much as you want. Lots and lots of fun. Probably one of the best resorts to stay at in DR besides ocean view.

Nice place. Not the very best ice been to but still quite nice. I wish they staggered the restaurant times better so you could more easily eat between 10:00 and noon. Not to crazy about the translucent wall between the bathroom and the bedroom but otherwise quite nice. Wish you could also make reserv5at the restaurants so you didn't have to wait in long lines. Beautiful beach and beautiful water for sure.
The resort is great. The people and service complement the beauty of Punta Cana for a great experience. If we ran into an issue Delores Martinez at the concierge desk took great care of us. Thanks grand palladium for the experience.
We were there right before Christmas and we really enjoyed our stay. Our rooms overlooked the ocean and we could not have been happier. Our Housekeeper was amazing and made sure our room was spotless every day. Juan Carlos provided transportation on several occasions. Angel, an Apple Vacations employee, was there to assist with our excursion needs and provided guidance when dealing with the locals.
The food was very, very good, both at the buffets and the restaurants. The Sports Bar was open 24/7 and offered a decent menu.
The bartenders made sure we were well taken care of, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The beach was beautiful and Security was always present.
The pools were amazing, with different activities every day, including the foam parties.
The only negative we experienced was the presentation for "The Club". We told them we were not interested, but they continued and then acted surprised when we did not join.
While this is an all-inclusive resort, I would recommend bringing a stack of $1's and $5's. The staff were very grateful for any gratuities.
This was our first time at an all-inclusive resort and we will definitely be back.
Thank you Grand Palladium!
The hotel property is nice and the staff was nice. The room and room keeping were fine. However, we witnessed two occasions in which a staff member used dirty drinkware and/or silverware. In one case, we were getting drinks from the pool side bar, and the waiter clearly grabbed two glasses off the unwashed stack. We objected, and he washed two glasses for us. How many times did no one object? In the second case, we were eating breakfast, and the person next to us asked for a spoon. The waiter went to the table next to us, which a party had just left, and grabbed a spoon which was laying on their table. This is a terrible impression of a lack of training. The facility itself is nice, but it made us question the cleanliness of food prep areas and housekeeping, when two different employees obviously saw no problem with doing this.
I've been here 4 days. I'm now laying on the beach. The vendors and tour guides have passed me 10 times; not once have I been approached. When I dine, the staff is luke warm. My first day here I was approached by a time share salesperson; which I hate. I didn't have anything planned so I went and didn't even receive my promised gifts. The hotel is all inclusive, my refrigerator hasn't been restocked once. Every worker that is here looks like me and every tourist is opposite.
The beach is beautiful which is why I gave it 3 stars. Its bad enough being scrutinized in the United States because of your skin, but in a 3rd world country that is built on tourism, I expected something different.
My wife and I attended this resort for our honeymoon and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND AVOIDING it. I’ve broken down our review into sections but it was a pretty horrendous experience.
Food - We picked this resort as they bolstered having the best food, with over 11 restaurants to choose from. If this was the best the Dominican has to offer then their entire country is out-shined by most local diners here in Canada. Both the Japanese and French restaurants were only available to upgraded members. Every place we went to was a let down, as if the cook had never actually had their cuisine before. We are not picky eaters, but the quality of the food was very poor.
Drink - When we booked the trip we were told we’d be sitting back relaxing by the pool ordering our favourite drinks till our heart's content. This would have been true IF you liked Dominican Rum and Dominican Beer as that was about all that was readily included for free. Want a beer that you actually like, expect to pay $10.
Activities - These were the only highlights of our trip, and almost all of them had nothing to do with the resort! We went on a dune buggy adventure, a Catamaran trip, went diving 4 times, and did a canopy zip line tour. All of those trips we would recommend, though our only problem is people constantly having their hands out wanting a tip or for us to buy trinkets. It got so bad that we stopped carrying cash on us so we could just say “sorry, we have no cash”.
Resort Staff Service -
This story sums up our entire experience (had many of these kind of adventures of poor service):
We came back from one of our all day activities to find our room door locked so we walked to the front desk (10 min) to get new keys. The new keys didn't work so when we got back to the front desk the gentleman promised he would send someone to meet us at our room. We sat by our room waiting more than 30 min with nobody coming. We walked back once again to the front desk to be assured that someone would be coming soon. On our fourth return to the front desk, as we waited another 30 min again, we were irate with the situation and asked someone to walk us back to our room. The gentleman who was helping us said he would get right on it, then proceeded to walk away and greet and check in a party of new guests. We then demanded to speak to a manager as we had been our of our room over 2 hours. 30 min later the manager got us into our room. Due to this terrible experience I asked for 2 free massages to make up for whole experience (I had to ask, they did not offer anything). They promised us that would be no problem. We went and got our massages but when we checked out on the last day they told me there was a charge for the massages that I must pay. I explained the situation and they told me there was no notes or manager who could promise that. The manager told us that we were not allowed to leave the resort until these services were paid, that it didn’t matter our flight was in few hours, that they would hold us here until it was paid. The resort literally held us hostage over promised massages and wouldn’t listen to a word we had to say.
Resort Facilities
Every few minutes you will walk by a table full of cheap trinkets that a pushy salesperson is trying to sell. VERY PUSHY… to the point we would map out our trips to avoid these tables.
The pools all close around 7, though the pool are still lit up with lights. There is little to do after 7 at the resort at all.
AVOID THE CASINO. When you walk in there is a game they will give you “free money” to play… it’s a scam called progressive roulette or progressive dice. All too sketchy.
Resort Room
We did have a safe in our room Apparently we have to lock EVERYTHING up, as an $100 bottle of perfume was stolen from us and the only thing the front desk did was ask why it wasn’t in our safe (because it was full). We did not feel comfortable leaving anything around the room ever so it was a constant fear of locking things up. It was also to a safe that wasn’t attached to the wall or closet in any way… just didn’t feel safe.
stay at the hotel I consider very good. very interesting and large complex with beautiful garden. Mrs. Rosa's customer service is very kind and competent person. Thank you very much for your help and care. beautiful beach. rooms a bit old . wonderful holidays. Justyna from Poland
Loved the environment and "some' staff but our suite we booked was under construction when we arrived. They upgraded us to a honeymoon suite, but I was there with my sister so that wasn't cool. Resort is huge and miserable to walk around but I had a wonderful time. BE CAREFUL though and watch your drinking, I didn't drink much but I felt like I drank 2 bottles I think the liquor is just different.
I quite enjoyed my stay. The service was friendly and warm as was the smile of the servers. Great food and love the variety. I did enjoy my room as well but overall i was quite fond of the pools. I do hope to return.
Beautiful plantation style ocean resort. Staff are first class and friendly. Lots to see and do. Variety of eating options, some better than others. Variety of reasonable excursion option. Great pools and oceanside services. Go.
We just check-out yesterday , they need to improve their guest service relationship especially in handling complaint. we check-in Saturday we had 10 rooms, we booked for this place for a reason. I got my room late around 5 pm. I did noticed the smell in the room but when my brother in law came to check us in the room, he also noticed the smell which is a moldy smell , I went to front desk and asked them if they can send housekeeping to refresh or take out the smell and asked also if they can send engineering because the phone is also down. Came back to check the room nothing is done, I went to complained again at the front desk and I ended moving my room to handicap room by 1:00 am. I'm not happy the way they handle my case. I'm was there to enjoy not to complain. I wish they do better so I can come back to stay is property.
the place was nice. clean and safe. so many people working left and right. if they just had a bit nicer food they would be 5 star for sure. place is beautiful and well maintained with plenty of pools and and staff to serve you your cocktail as you lounge around the pool/ beach all day
The hotel is OK. Rooms are a bit old, and lots of 'amenities' will not work properly (in my case, the so claimed Jacuzzi was not working). I don't know if I would ever return. Food Quality is OK (it's not good though). Even though it's an 'all-inclusive-resort', the Hotel Staff will better serve you if you're a good tipper. You better wake up early if you want a chair in the beach, because people let their towels hung "booking" almost all chairs available in the beach and in the pool areas (the chairs remains empty 80% of the time - a simple policy of 'unattended towels will be removed after 30 minutes' would help a lot). There are other options in Punta Cana that are more value for the money.
