I would highly recommend against staying at El Colibri unless you want rats and roaches crawling on you. I stayed here in May, 2014 and I swear to GOD I had this big freaking rat in the apartment where I was staying. My friend screamed when she saw it; I was sleeping but her screams woke me up. At first I didn't believe her and went to use the bathroom. While using the bathroom I hear my friend screaming again. When I go out too investigate, I see this big freaking rat run into the area where the bed was and then the next thing I know it jumps onto the bed and then tries to leap onto the night stand. We left immediately and went to speak with management. Bottom line, there was nobody available who could provide me with a new room so I had to check into a new hotel in the middle of the night. I already paid Hotel Calibri in cash.so when I had to leave because of the rat and pay for a new hotel room El Colibri never reimbursed me. I wish I was calm enough to video the rat running around the hotel room, but I just didn't think about it because I was in shock. This is a bad hotel. But, maybe if you stay here you may be free of ratswho knows. The big roaches are another matter and something people may be use to.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are lovely and lively. I love the cook. I wanted to kidnap her!!! Good prices, good food and good wi-fi, what more do you want?

Very good place with very pleasant owner)
Place is really adequate to money you pay. The only thing is that it located a bit far from the beach. But that's ok. It will take you ten minutes to get to both beaches.response / report this review
