There were 3 a la carte restaurants advertised - but only one buffet style restaurant there.
The restaurant serves the exact same food for both lunch and dinner everyday.

    ● It was nearly impossible to get service in the restaurant, we were left walking to the waiters station to get our own utensils, and leaving the restaurant to the outside bar to get drinks during most meals; even though the restaurant was well staffed.
    ● Our Sunwing representative, Alberto promised us multiple times that there would be a barbeque on the beach on both Saturday and Tuesday night of our stay. This was meant to be an offering from the resort to make up for the mis-advertised dining situation. There was never such an event. In fact on the billboard (explained later) the BBQ was listed, but was advertised for “tomorrow” every day that we were there.
    ● Of the bland and repetitive food offerings, there was not much “kid friendly” food, especially for being advertised as a “kid friendly” resort.
    ● The snack bar did not have over half of the items listed on their menu, service there was below sub-par, and the options they did have available were mostly unappealing.
    ● The restaurant opened late everyday making many customers staying at the resort late for the Excursion pickup times or causing them to skip breakfast all together in order to catch their bus for the airport.
    ● The bar ran out of, the choice drink of our entire party, by 8pm two nights during our stay.
    ● At the resort there is a billboard area close to the restaurant that advertises the list of activities that were to happen at the pool everyday including Spanish lessons water Olympics fill in the blanks when you see the picture Mallory. None of these events happened on resort of the eight days that we were at the resort.
    ● There is a floating obstacle course advertised for resort stayers to use, including slides, water trampolines and other obstacles; it is said to be floating in the ocean at the beach of the resort; we were very surprised to find out when we arrived that this is an event that happens once per year. This is one of the major reasons we booked at this resort!
    ● Pool closes at 8 which is not posted anywhere, we witnessed many people were yelled at by security for being in the pool after-hours with no idea that it was closed. ● Air Transat customers that we met on our excursions has purchased the exact same package as us for significantly less money. This was the case on all 5 of the excursions we booked with Sunwing.
    ● While we thoroughly enjoyed the waterslides that lived up our expectations, the lifeguards on duty were rendered **irrelevant by their constant use of their personal cell phones and not supervising the swimmers/sliders at all. This lack of enforcement of any rule or regulation led to groups of up to 5 children going down the slide at the same time, which is clearly unsafe on slides of that size, especially with the exceptional speed a person is able to travel down them.
    ● Overall conditions of the resort:
    ● The beach is not well kept, with seaweed and garbage allowed to pile up for a couple of days before anything is cleaned up.
    ● Often, in the mornings when we went down for breakfast, dirty dishes, ashtrays, and garbage had yet to be cleaned up in the bar area from the night before.
    ● The power went out numerous times; this affected me in particular as I have issues with my hip and knees and required the use of an elevator to access my room on the third floor. I was outside on one occasion when the power was out for well over an hour and was unable to access my room. ● I stayed in room 309 in building Palmera, and had no hot water for the entire duration of our stay.

    ● While I completely understand that English is not the first language of the residents of the Dominican, the majority of the staff spoke no English at all, including the front desk employees. This made it very hard to communicate for even the simplest thing as a fork and knife.

Transat had this classified as family friendly I seriously doubt that

If you have young children stay away from this place.
Restaurant does not have high chair their solution was to stack chair
The first day they said that they were being repainted, I have a feeling this is not the case after three days they should be dried..
If they are older this is a great place for the beach and the water slide.

Also none of the staff speak anything else than Spanish so prepare yourself with Spanish course.

The wifi is spotty at best. Be prepare to wake up early to get a spot on the beach. Everyone just put their towel and leave

The complex need a little refreshing.

Beautiful place to come with family We felt very safe and a great place to relax.
There was a couple things we didn't like for example.
    1. Some of this guys try to pick up women even if they are married and they won't leave you alone.
2.We asked for a laundromat or portable water out of the resort they would tell us no we do everything here and have everything here (yeah for a heavy price & tip on top of what they charge) we actually found cheaper water and laundry place outside the resort
    3. They see all Tourist as Rich People they want you to pay in USA money not in DR pesos

Visited end of February 2016. Great resort! Not crowded, great beach. Amazing for kids. Have all inclusive and time share and other types. Multiple sit down restaurants, all inclusive guests just don't pay, everyone else does.
