Theft, including ones from locked safes, seem to be part of the business model. Reception unfriendly, bars mostly lacking 50% plus of their ingredients, slow service. Rooms are large but technician needed every day due to lack of hot water, power supply or lavatory running at all times. Pesticids sprayed multiple times per day even if tourists are in very close proximity..

My experience was -overall- very good. I'll start with the good points and then I'll describe the bad ones. Although the buffet is small and the food might be repetitive if you stay let's say a week, you will discover amazing flavours there. Chicken, pasta and fish were my favorites. The staff is in the majority of the cases highly helpful and nice, the waiters and the bartenders were always smiling and willing to help us. The beach was incredibly beautiful and the water clean and warm. The hotel includes a large pool where you'll listen relaxing music and includes a small bar if you want to drink cocktails. The rooms where not luxurious but contained all what is needed in order to rest and recover from a long day. The complex was like a Spanish city and it reminded me to Marbella. On the other hand (hands?), we had bad experiences too. The check-in process was a mess. It was supposed to be done at 3 pm, however, we and other 20 people had to wait like 45 minutes because the rooms were not cleaned. The beach is rocky. When you enter to the water you hurt your feet. Solution: enter near the dock where the soil is sandy. The snack bar should be improved. It is not open 24 hours and they'll probably not have what you are ordering. It is noticeable the lack of staff, even though they were really nice and helpful, you could notice that they were overworking. I think that with small improvements it would be the perfect hotel.

Beware of food poisoning! Nothing labelled on the buffet, so it was a bit of a guessing game to know what anything was. Same food on the buffet everyday. Boring. No a la carte restaurants. The "all day snack bar" consisted of 2 chafing dishes with hot dogs (?) and crappy nachos with watery cheese sauce. The "sports bar" didn't have 90% of the items that were on the menu, and only draft beer available.
Nothing to do at this resort after 11pm. The "shows" were not really shows at all.
Rooms were hit & miss. Some toilets didn't flush and no one seemed to be able to fix. Mini fridge in room didn't work. Phone didn't work. Very few staff speak any English. Public washrooms by the restaurant were unstocked (no toilet paper) most of the time. Front desk staff were rude. We won't return to this place.

Just spent 2 weeks here and absolutely loved this place and it's people !

It is a smaller resort which is what we look for when travelling as we don't enjoy crowded places.
- Never a problem to find loungers or shaded hut @ beach or shade and loungers around pools.
- Food was excellent, at least one choice of each - beef, chicken, pork and fish at lunch and supper. Also soups, pizza and pasta and several different delicious deserts and always a good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. Breakfasts- bacon, ham, sausages,- freshly squeezed juices usually 2 or 3 types,- eggs done to your liking and same with omelettes you pick what and how much you want in them and they cook them in front of you. Several choices of breads and buns @ all meals . Special Thank You to Roberto Rodriquez (Chef Manager) very friendly man and always keeping close attention to the way food was being handled and cooked !
- The grounds, beach, pools and our room were always kept very clean at this beautiful little place !
- Bars were clean, well stocked and served good awesome drinks (loved the banana mamas, margaritas and beer) by our favourite bartenders Juan Francisco and Chara !
- We did 8 dives with the on site dive shop "Go Dive Bayahibe" they were "awesome"- very professional, friendly and we felt safer with them then any one we have dived with before ! Thank You Mark (owner/dive master), and Keigo (boat/captain) .

We loved this place and its wonderful friendly people, sorry we can't mention all their names wasn't one we did not like !

It’s beautiful inside, but very problematical. We changed three rooms during our vacation. Something is always broken there.. Once the electricity was off all over the resort and no warm water. They have only one buffet, which is also a “restaurant”, with almost same food everyday and lack of amount and choice of it. I’m even nice giving them three stars, it’s only because of how pretty the resort looks inside. I’ve been in many resorts and it’s a unique look for the resort.

This was a great week in the DR. The Weare Bayahibe (Cadaques) met and exceeded out expectations. Not one thing about the resort was perfect but that isn't what we expected. The room was bright and clean, the grounds were maintained and clean, the staff was polite and helpful. There were a number of small issues that came up during our stay that were disappointing but these type of things happen everywhere. There were plenty of reviews that were very negative and I think those were overly critical. This is a small, quiet resort that was perfect for our family of 6. There was always something that was good to eat. The water park kept the kids happy and the beach was beautiful.

It's a perfect place to find some peace after a rough working period! The rooms are nice and clean, the food fantastic, the park and the beach very beautiful. The hotel is smaller and not crowded! I never met a more kindly hotel stuff like those in that hotel! Special thanks to the Leisure Team! Jesus, Jordan and Ramon are doing a great job and can be called the souls of the beach!!! I would like to stay in this hotel again!!!

Un resort diferente. Ambiente tranquilo y romántico en todas las areas, buena comida (aunque poca variedad), enorme y bonita piscina con parque acuático y muy buena playa con acceso fácil a Isla Saona. Lo recomiendo para parejas y para familias con niños.

Very beautiful and family oriented spanish like complex. Has a Waterpark for the kids and maybe the best beachside of Bayahibe. The food was good but their Paella was AMAZING!

Really poor hotel old falling apart no maintenance only one restaurant not really fun they close the pools early and then theres nothing to do better go to punta cana really disappointed food was ok full of mosquitos services its poor i spend 3 days trying to get a better view room and i never got it the ocean its nice and the water park for the kids but most of the day its closed and wi fi its free but never work

Horrible bathroom, the ceiling was leaking and no one seemed to care. The tap for the bathroom sink was disgusting and the shower had mildew. Average rooms, the rooms are like apartments. Amazing beach and probably the only good thing about this resort. The a la carte restaurant is nothing to write home about, it's located above the lobby. 2 of 3 items I wanted to order from the a la carte menu weren't available but were being served to the couple next to us 15 minutes after we placed our order. The entertainment wasn't planned well. I probably won't be coming back to this resort the next time I go to DR.

The food is disgusting and extremely limited. The snack they give after midnight consists of bread and pineapple and rest overs from the afternoon dinner ! This is completely disrespectful. I strongly don't recommend this place. DON'T GO THERE!

Dislike the hotel nothing to do extremely boring rooms look like old nyc apartments food is extremely limited one restaurant beach is full of rocks and dirty rooms smell like bathrooms customer service is also bad they don't noticed you never coming here again I purchased a 7 day stay and cancelled 2nd day in

Voyage du 27 mars au 3 avril 2017:
Décor enchanteur. Endroit très tranquille. Beau site pour la baignade et voir des poissons. Nous n'avons pas eu la chambre demandée mais plus grand car nous étions trois personnes. Premier soir, on découvre qu'il n'y a pas d'eau chaude, le réfrigérateur ne fonctionne pas. appel à la réception qui nous envoie un ouvrier qui règle le problème. Pas de serviettes de plage. Dans les jours qui suivent, le coffre-fort indique un message d'erreur sans qu'on est fait quoi que ce soit Appel à la réception, personne sur place pour régler le problème vient quelqu'un de l'extérieur 1h30 plus tard. Jour après jour, toujours la même nourriture au buffet! Restaurant à la carte décevant. Il y avait un petit endroit extérieur où on pouvait manger des sushis, ben ordinaire. Le personnel au bar de la plage ainsi que le personnel en général: peu souriantOn était un groupe de 9 personnes et 7 ont été malades. D'autres voyageurs sur le site ont été malades aussi Le ménage des chambres était vraiment de base, changer le sac de la poubelle, changement de serviettes. Je ne crois pas que les draps ont été changés, en tout cas, ça ne paraissait pas! L'eau, la bière et liqueurs compris dans le bar de la chambre était toujours incomplet. Fallait laisser une note pour dire que nous étions trois personnes.. L'accès à notre chambre a été bloqué une journée à l'avance. retour à la réception pour se faire dire qu'il croyait qu'on était parti.. La journée du départ, l'autobus a été en retard d'au moins 20 minutes et pour clore le tout l'avion est partie une heure à l'avance. Le positif, c'est que nous avons eu vraiment une belle semaine ensoleillée. Le représentant de Transat était très difficile à comprendre. Un des animateurs de soirée était très tenace quand nous ne voulions pas faire ce qu'il voulait (chanter, danser). Première fois qu'un voyage dans le Sud nous a déçus. En espérant que vous ferez de gros efforts pour vous améliorer.

Très bel hôtel. La douche de notre chambre est pour le moment pas au point mais on nous a promis une réparation sous peu. Bonne nourriture mais plutôt limité pour les végétariens.

Depende de lo que busques. Para familias diría que está muy bien o para alguien que busque solo relajarse, nada de bulla y solo disfrutar de una linda vista teniendo los servicios básicos cubiertos. El personal es amable y muy servicial. Literalmente al final del camino está el hotel.
