The stars are for Beautiful place but the following things are completely disappointing: service, attention, drinks, the quality and variety and repositioning of the Buffett. And this is just the first day!!!

Staff were friendly. Beach was amazing!! No other resorts around so it was tranquil. Beach was like a inlet so waters were calm. not many activities going on but we wanted to relax. pool was fantastic. The rooms all renovated but not the villas. villas were dated and rustic but spacious and steps to the beach. First photo shows patio of our room. drawback was the 1.5 hour bus from airport to resort.

The most beautiful and quiet resort around . Services are always rendered with a smile. The sand beach is clean and organized.The food is excellent with many choices .

Our experience at the Hamsa Marina Grand Paradise Samana Resort.
On arrival at the airport El Catey de Samaná. We did check in before getting on the bus everything was very fast. We immediately headed to our # 1219 deluxe room with ocean view. Some buildings in the hotel complex have been renovated and some have not. The furniture in our room is old and scuffed, a night table lamp of two did not work and the abajur was stained and broken, the stained bedding and the beach towels discolored. In the bathroom there was a technical problem with the shower. That yes the room was very clean and tidy always.
The complex has three types of guests the regulars, the select ones and the primium.
Each one has its advantages and certain rights in the facilities.
Access to WIFI: 38.00 $ USD for 7 days per device. Safe: 15.00 $ USD Included for select guests and primium.
The grounds of the resort are beautiful and very well maintained, a tremendous variety of trees and plants and a view spectacular from the balcony where you can see the mountains, the ocean and the vegetation of Samaná.
The food in the restaurants were delicious from the buffet with a variety of typical and international food, the snack bar, a la carte and Japanese. For many tourists this can be funny but for others not: In the complex there are wandering cats and dogs that can walk between the tables for people to give them food.
The beach at the resort is beautiful. Large, clean and spacious with white sand. Beach chairs always available and clean. Many areas with shade and sun. A bar just 50 feet from the beach.
The animation team of the hotel is very dynamic and entertaining, quickly creating a friendly and family atmosphere. The guys quickly learn your name and look for you or call you to do activities with them, Zumba, aerobics, volley ball, games and much more. Juan and Jean Paul were great with us. Bravo for your work and make us feel very special. The shows at the theater were very varied and fun. Very professional dance group.
All the service staff, innkeepers, waitresses, bar service, cooks, porters and housekeeping, always very helpful and courteous. They never let go of without wish you a good day, afternoon or night with a smile.
If your travel agency informs you that tip is included for your stay. The hotel employees spend long hours of work between 16 to 17 hours 11 days running with 3 rest. We suggest you to be generous with them and see how they will be very grateful to you.response / report this review -

Stayed here on 17,18,19 of 2017, This resort has a lot of potential. Stayed with Select group. Did not really like the rooms mine was #2119. Shower was backed up, No connections for lap tops, not many connections for chargers had to charge phone in bathroom, the only one lamp was broken had to unscrew bulb to shut off, LOL that is true ! The food at the main restaurant was good. If they get their act together, I feel it can be a legitimate 4 star resort. I would recommend the stay here, very relaxing not very crowded.

Pasamos un maravilloso fin de semana (11,12 y 13 de Nov.) a pesar de que estuvo lluvioso. El servicio por parte del personal excelente. Nuestra habitación en el bloque 7 de primera.

Very beautiful place.
The personal is very nice, helpful. You quickly get feeling you are a part of their family. They take care around the whole resort. The beach is awesome, in the morning, at the noon, evening and even during night.
The food was excellent, during our whole stay. Everything was clean, outside and inside too. Many bars throughout the whole resort. Lovely place. Hope to see again.response / report this review -
