Nice historic hotel. The beds were super uncomfortable however and was just two twin beds pushed together. The left side was lower than the right side, it was just weird and uncomfortable. The staff was really friendly and helpful. I got a room with a collum in it and it was really awesome seeing the wood. Im not sure I would stay here again, it really was a shame about the beds. When you spend all day walking around the city, the hotel beds need to be comfortable imo.
Beautiful and comfortable. But I could hear the people in the next room in the wee hours and I didn't like that. The breakfast buffet is amazing with so many choices, including gluten free, a huge variety of fresh fruit, organic yogurts, and speciality cheeses. They had the usual eggs and bacon, too - organic eggs!
Excellent hotel that used to be a fort at one point of time. Fantastic wood beans inside the rooms and the views of the opera house and the water is excellent
Fabulous hotel in a historic building. Great decor. Friendly, helpful staff. Worth the price. We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the harbor. The bar was very nice too. And very conveniently located.
The hotel was great. Terrific location. Great views of opera house. Very friendly staff. Good restaurant in the hotel too.
Great hotel in a perfect location. Fantastic restaurant included. Like all hotels in Copenhagen it is expensive but this is definitely one of the top hotels.
Clean rooms. Very helpful, thoughtful, and considerate staff. Smooth check in and check out. The bartender made the effort to deliver an off menu drink with no issue. Great service from start to finish. Fantastic location as well!
Classic old waterfront hotel. Comfortable amenities, good breakfast buffet and walking distance to many sights, including the Royal residences. A plethora of places to eat can be found within 500m. The Copenhagen-Oslo ferry terminal is just a short (80 DKK or ~$15) taxi ride away.
The most was good, but a bit pricey for what you got. Can easily find the same service to a better price.
Very tasty, if uninspired, food. Decently reflects Copenhagen's food culture but in a way that isn't threatening to international palletes. Solid use of local, seasonal ingredients. Very cool old building with a lovely view, albeit one that can be had from a number of publicly accessible spots.
The hotel is a short 5-10 minute walk to the main city centre. It's rooms are great but I would recommend the upgrade from their basic room. The facilities are great and the in house restaurants serve fantastic breakfasts, lunches and evening meals. This was a perfect base for visiting Copenhagen
Beautiful place! Wonderful, big and clean room. Marvellously sight from our window. Abundant breakfast celiac-friendly. Bus 66 just next to the hotel. Lot of near attractions.
Great location. Beautiful historic building. Cannot go wrong with the location. The ability to walk everywhere is wonderful. You deal with the no A/C, mild noise and quaint quarters for the trade off. Would definitely stay here again on a return trip.
