Despite the fact that they don't have AC it was an awesome stay! The breakfast food was great. The people were very helpful and kind. The location is great. It was just an amazing experience. I would go back again!

Busy place with restaurant, bar and ice bar on site. I stayed in an 8 person room with private bath and it was great. Reasonable space for each person, everyone gets an under bed locker for your things, bring your own lock though. There was a bathroom and two shower rooms in the room. Each bed has 2 outlets and a small light as well. Free walking tours available to see the sites. Staff was friendly and the location was perfect to get just about anywhere by walking. Don't forget to bring your own towel of course. Great place, would stay here again.

This hostel is great. Good atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are clean and plumbing works as expected. Laundry facility was a nice addition. The food and drinks are kinda expensive, but no worse than the rest of Copenhagen.

Cool vibe for the bar and social areas. Lots of games to play while having a drink. Beds are good and provide what privacy is possible in the dorm style rooms. Loved the stay!

Not a bad place to stay, rooms are very clean but also very basic. It is good value for money, particularly for this city. It is mostly a youthful crowd looking to have a good time but we also saw families with small children. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the ligation probably couldn't be much better. It worked for our weekend trip very well.

Generator is the cheapest staying place in Copenhagen. But that does not mean it's lacking in quality. The rooms are simple, just what you need. With toilets and showers. You can rent washing machines if you are staying for a while she by living at generator you get all kinds of perks.
Many different discounts for popular attractions as well as 15%off food and drink from their own kitchen. There is a very nice breakfast buffet every morning as well as bagels, sandwiches, burgers and more are sold at all hours of the day. The chill area is very cozy and stylish. You can almost shared see young people here enjoying themselves with a game, TV, a drink from the bar or a movie on the TV.
The staff are very helpful and nice. But most of them only speak English. I wholeheartedly recommend Generator if you need a place to stay or want to meet people from all over the world.response / report this review -

This was the first hostel I've ever stayed in and I have to say that it has changed my perception of what staying in a hostel is like. The showers and bathrooms were plentiful and clean, and the common spaces are beautifully designed. I stayed at air bnb places during the rest of my European trip, they were fine but I feel there was more value here. There's a great bar, they offer free walking tours every day, and you can meet lots of other travellers. I did find the room unbearably hot and stuffy in the mornings given that there were 7 other people in there, but it did motivate me to get up and out into the city. I highly recommend this place as an affordable way to travel.

Nice place to stay. but, it is big and can be impersonal unless you go out of your way to make friends/meet people. However, most facilities are nice and clean, incl. regular room cleaning. But, laundry facilities aren't great and beds are just OK.

The hostel itself is okay - stayed in a private room. The beds were not the most comfortable, but they were decent for a quick layover in the city. The wifi was very fast, so that was good. Why 2 stars? When I woke up, I realized there were blood stains on the sheets. Obviously, the sheets have been washed because washed blood has a distinctive look, but that was absolutely disgusting. I hope management does something about that.

Great Nordic breakfasts and communal areas.
Clean, spacious, welcoming, and in an ideal area. They also have great pétanque courts.

I stayed at this hostel for one night during the month of January and I caught bed bugs. They spread to all my clothes in my backpack. I had to throw away most of my stuff, my backpack included. So yeah, this one night cost me quite a bit of money Emotionally, it was also quite rough. Hostel was fine otherwise. It's truly a shame. I stayed here in 2012 and everything was great.
