Hotel and room itself is pretty decent however the staff is absolutely terrible. Be careful because the staff behind the bar will shrug, huff and puff if you ask for a glass of water.
Good location, nice lobby, friendly staff, pretty good breakfast, really bad internet, thin walls.
I love the Penta Wiesbaden. It's a somewhat chic, somewhat quirky hotel that is my favorite hotel in Wiesbaden. Rooms are good, free WiFi, breakfast is great. Restaurant has American type dishes, some German dishes. And it is very well priced, although parking will set you back 17€ daily if you don't park on the street.
Rather small rooms, but clean. A/C quite old but functioning. Window doesn't shut properly. Slight odeur in the hallway and the staircase. No free parking on the ground. Large range of breakfast options. Nice lounge area. Room service. Fancy aquarium lifts.
The rooms are clean and comfortable. Rain shower in the bathroom is a nice touch. Hotel is within walking distance of a park and some cute boutiques. Breakfast is excellent! The staff is friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I like having a fridge and microwave in the room, especially for longer stays and stays with small children. Also, the WiFi is spotty at times.
Heater works. Aircon doesn't. Turn it on, and room will turn to a sauna. Breakfast has seen better days too. How about fresher, smaller amounts, esp. bacon and eggs. Wi-Fi glitch.
If you need to stay in this part of Wiesbaden the this hotel is a fine option. Clean and quiet rooms, relatively comfy beds. Quick check in. I was there on a Monday night and was surprised how lively the lobby bar was considering the hotel is basically in the middle of a commercial district.
I really enjoyed this place. Spent a week here, and in that week spent a lot of time in the lounge area after I was done with touristy stuff. The staff are great; friendly, attentive, and they all speak English well if you're lost in translation like me.
The room is plenty comfy, with a nice shower and giant king bed. Access ports to hook your electronics up easily (although the room could use some USB charging ports for westerners). There's an interesting choice of an aquarium elevator with some whale-song stuff going on. That caught me off guard. Parking is sparse and a bit pricey at 15 euro a day, but that's common for the area. Space is at a premium.
The real benefit of this place is the staff and the great lounge area. Camping out at night to have a beer is very nice, and there's a ton of personal nooks to nest in, as well as a nice bar and restaurant area. Very nice design and mood lighting.
The food here is OK, but the dishes are hit or miss. The pizza here is straight bad, and the fish and chips just needs pulled from the menu. But the German fare is REALLY good, and the breakfast buffet is legit. (Although a little too pricey at 17 euro). I'd stick with German style food, steaks, or the shrimp mac and cheese. Everything else is "meh" at best. They really need more appetizer finger foods for groups of people hanging out.
All this is constructive criticism, however. I'd stay at this place again in a heartbeat. The bartenders are great, even though they cut me off because my wife was giving then the death stare. I'm looking forward to staying at one of their UK locations.
Nice hotel, pleasant Staff and environment, autobahn makes a little noticeable road noise.
Overall great stay, staff is great! Room was more than comfortable, bar and restaurant was outstanding. Agree with other reviews on ssslllooowww internet.
