First time in Berlin and this hostel gives an authentic DDR experience. The staff are friendly and the rooms are spartan but comfortable and clean. A short walk from the metro station and easy access to the rest of Berlin, and nearby restaurants, bars, and supermarkets.

Good budget hostel. No common area or kitchen. Check in time was kind of late, but they let us keep our bags there earlier. They will change your sheets and towels, but only if you request it. Decoration is amazing and the location is perfect, close to berghain and train station and super market next door. Don't get the coffee from reception.

This hostel has its positive and negative aspects. I lived in single room. It's very noisy there. You can hear every step from outside the room. Room was small, but pretty comfortable, warm, good lock on the door, good window (can be opened and closed without problems). There's no common space, no kitchen, no microwave, no lift. You can buy coffee to go at the reception for €1.50, but it is disgusting. Friendly stuff though. Card reader didn't work, so I had to pay in cash. In general - ok for its price, but I was really disappointed by absence of kitchen or even simple kettle/microwave.

Clean rooms with lovely decoration. Excellent location even if it's away from city center is very close to the train station.

Great place with real retro feel, no on sweet, no TV. But a wonderful old fashioned radio, and cheep as chips.

I had a really good stay here. It's a nice walk from the centre. I love how kitsch and retro the rooms were. Fantastic price!
