Comfortable if rather sparse rooms. No fridge, lift, safe or tea/coffee making facilities. However, it was very quiet, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Pleasant breakfast, with reasonable choice, though service and table clearance was poor when it was busy. Convenient for local shops - including two mini supermarkets and a bakers - and trams to city centre. Parking is a little restricted with not many spaces available. There is an excellent value and good quality Italian restaurant next door if you don't want to drag into town for dinner. I'd be happy to stay at the Bischofslinde again.

Imagine an area with good connections to the city centre , blocks of flats and lovely little shops. Discover that one "block of flats" is actually Hotel Bischofslinde with it's own little gate and parking. The rooms are nice and tidy and the shower is cosy and big with big doors. We had breakfast there three times and each time it was always topped up and we had really good coffee served with it. All 4receptions were lovely but our first one had the best English knowledge and humour as well. He explained everything about the town and how to get around and made sure that we will have a good time there (a very tall guy). We had 3 nights there and the only thing we could fault was the lack of aircon/fan in our room. However we had a nice balcony and shutters on the door and window to keep the room dark and relatively cool. This hotel is quite unusual but definitely worth a visit. As for evening meal options the restaurant next door is very good as well.

We stayed four nights at Hotel Bischofslinde in October 2016. Rooms are minimalist in terms of size, but are well designed and spotless. Desk staff is excellent. Location is great for access to central Freiburg by tram. We recommend!

I loved this hotel. It is nothing fancy, but it was super clean and cozy. The staff was very nice, and the room had a large porch with two chairs. Breakfast was rich and delicious. WiFi signal isn't too stable- don't count on it. In all it's a wonderful choice for a 3 stars hotel.

Stayed for 3 nights in September 2015. Fairly basic but clean and contemporary. Good free parking for the motorcycle in the underground car park. Beds are very low and mattresses a bit on the soft side. Within easy reach of the centre of Freiburg by the tram which stops very close by. Breakfast was very good. Staff friendly and helpful.
