Staff (although the kitchen was closed already, they made us sandwiches st our day of arrival around midnight!!!), amenities, food, service, and especially the view over Freiburg was all at its best.

Loved this hotel. Am becoming more and more suspicious of paying for "luxury" hotels as they tend to disappoint. Hotel Panorama is not one of them!

Staff are incredibly helpful and good humoured, the rooms are smart (a litttle small but how much space do you need?) and I think they all have private balcony. Our room was on the 4th floor (one up from reception) and had an amazing (yes, panoramic!) view of Freiburg. We got a cocktail from the bar and took it up to our terrace to watch the sun set perfect!

Breakfast wasn't included in our package but it was well worth the extra €17pp. Also made use of the pool before breakfast. Little touches like free fruit and juice in the pool area show this is a special hotel.

Yes, it's a bit of a walk into town. Wouldn't fancy it in bad weather but on a decent day it's completely do-able for anyone of average fitness. Takes around 40 minutes.

I saw some people complain about car parking we had no issues. Just drop them a note beforehand to reserve a space if you are concerned.

It was our first time in the Mercure Panorama Hotel in Freiburg, but we plan to go back soon.
We had spent only one night in this hotel but all was beyond expectations.
Our 2 German Shepherds were welcome to stay in the hotel and they were could of stay with us in the breakfast and dinner area. They even have signs to warn cleaning staff that they are dogs in the room! Right around the corner there’s an amazing forest where you can walk with your dogs, enjoy birds singing and fill your lungs with fresh air.
The room was spacious, had a balcony with an amazing view above the city, everything was spotless clean and was good quality and free wi fi.
The dinner in the “Chez Eric” was amazing (see my review for the restaurant).
The breakfast was also high quality, with a large choice of food, fruit, drinks etc.
What stroke me the most was the staff. All of them young, but friendly and professional, always smiling, charming and accommodating. This attitude makes you feel welcome and you want to spend more time in this hotel.

Good location nice view great staff but very small rooms and a 2 stars bathroom style unfortiently. Staff dosnt know how to handle laundry. Poor selection of breakfast

Excellent rooms with spectacular views. Very attentive and service minded staff. Good dining too! Reserve a parking space in advance and you'll have your personal spot waiting for you upon check-in. Please be aware that it's quite far from Freiburg city centre and you can't really walk there.

Very nice hotel, fantastic views the highlight. Recommend you have a car to get into town and around the area if you are visiting as a tourist.

Very nice hotel in this small German city. The hotel is outside the city center, about 20 min walk and up a big hill.

There are running/bike trails right by the hotel and they let you rent bikes for the day, which is a nice deal.

The rooms themselves are spacious, with a balcony. There is a restaurant on-site that has pretty good breakfast and lunch options (didn't try the dinner).

Overall, this is a good place for a work trip, the only downside is that it's not walking distance in the city, but the views are amazing from almost every room!
