Don't believe the hype! Beef is okay, sides are mediocre and service sucks. All this does not add up when you get the check. You can do much better than this in Berlin.
We booked a table via e-mail which we had a quick reply. They also called to confirm booking on the day.
The restaurant was very nice, service we got on arrival was polite and friendly. Had a short wait at the bar for our table which was advised might happen at booking. It was a busy Saturday night and the place had a great atmosphere.
The food was fantastic our steaks were cooked perfect and portions were large. A huge choice of steaks.
The wine list was huge, bigger than some books you will read!!!!
Our wine waiter was very knowledgeable and helped choose a wine from the vast amount on offer..it was a very good choice.
The food arrived in good time and was cooked perfectly. The sides were amazing especially the pak choi.
Normally would have a desert to myself but could only manage to share one.
Decor was cool, service top notch. It is not a cheap place but the Food and service are well worth it.
Great tartar, great steaks, and all sorts of different meats available. Also a good amount of different cuts are on the menu.
The Artischocke is also super delicious!
Minus on the waiting time. Food took ages on my last visit.
It is worth a visit, but have a fair expectation, even though the restaurant is highly rated nearly everywhere.
The menu. Specials from the sea, Alba white truffles and side orders. Looking at the chilled seafood platter the excitement starts. Kobe beef sold by the gram. A hundred for 109 Euros. The roast beef is for 89 Euros at 100 grams. Oysters, caviar, salads and soups. The next page is the grill. American or Argentinean, there are cuts of 1,000 grams with that you'll have to choose your sauce and side dish.
Honestly, with that much noise, a meat that's good but not exceptional, tight seating with tables stuck one to the other, I think the place is a bit overrated. We paid €100 per person for tonight's dinner.
This is the top one steak house in Berlin, the steak is their signature dish. So if you do go, you really have to try the steak. It‘s just so tender, juicy and full of flavour.
They also have a good selection of sea food, which are also very good. Don‘t forget to sample their salad, the dressing will put a smile on your face.
The ambience and view are a bonus, you are sitting in a beautiful upper class restaurant with a view of River Spree. The scene you only see in James Bond movies. What else can you ask for.
But you do pay for the privilege, food with wine will set you back around €90 per person. But it‘s worth it.
Best meat ever! Try the porterhouse and you will not eat any other meat afterwards
Decent steak but pricey - ambience is a bit corporate and service is ok - better places with more character in Berlin - place to be seen rather than to eat in
it was nice place and good food . It is place must to seeing in berlin
This is a place to be seen or want to be seen. The food and service was good, the menu selection is to die for over 40 plus pages of wines from Europe. Dress well and be prepared to drop a couple of hundred euros.
The food was impressive. Great steaks, great seafood and tasty sauces! The decor was "nice". The ambience was missing something though. And the service, was miserable (hence the 3 stars instead of 4). They tried to make it up at the end, but by then we all felt very awkward.
