A lovely hotel with friendly staff. Well situated just above the town with a great view and walking trails just out the back. The spa looked nice though I didn’t use it. One enjoyable night of relaxing there and exploring a bit of the small town

Stunning views, incredible room, amazing food, gorgeous spa, there aren't enough superlatives to describe Das Tegernsee. We will definitely be back to the place we got engaged! Thank you for making it so special

    Beautiful views, bad customer management

The views and the surroundings of the hotel are very beautiful, the pool and sunbathing area just the same, the rooms are clean and some of the staff really loves being in the business of customer service.

However, this place doesn't measure up to what it likes to be, on the contrary, you feel as if it tries to save every penny on you.
    For example:
    - Electricity in the room works only with the key (which the cleaning lady will take out): Seriously, ever heard about digital age and / or customer experience?
    - No conditioner, shampoos weren't filled up daily and upon request we received one little bottle of shampoo and gel for two people! So, again, in 2017 most people do take daily showers and they use conditioner (not seen here).
    - As for the rooms, if you like hard beds, you'll be fine. For us, we woke up with a back pain every day.
    - Room with see view - take care to not be located right above the conference area - all you'll see is the roof and the mountains across the lake and have a mouse as frequent visitor.
    - As for the customer service, as you might be able to guess by now (also, customer feedback is unasked for, unless you like to post a review on google), there are additional sad stories to tell - except for Mohamed - who really cared for us even when the receptionist didn't - Thanks so much - it's such a delight so see people that love their job.

All in all, it's a beautiful setting with gorgeous views and nice (but very dark) rooms but if you don't mind paying but expect a good service for it, this is the wrong place.

Das Tegernsee was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend getaway. I stayed here with a friend in fall of 2016, and would love to go back next time I'm in the region. The check in process was smooth (the staff all spoke English), our room was clean and well decorated, with the comfiest beds we slept in on our whole three week trip.

The spa and pool was completely out of this world. My friend and I both got a 60 minute massage, which was more relaxing than the deep tissue work I'm used to getting at home, but still very worth it. We spent hours lounging around the pool area, and swimming in the outdoor hot pool. It's not quite at hot tub temperatures, but was warm enough for us to enjoy being outside even when it was snowing. And the views over the mountains across the valley were just stunning!

We didn't eat dinner at the hotel, but we had drinks at the hotel bar, and were very impressed with both the drinks and the friendly bartender. We ate breakfast at the hotel the next morning, and there was so much food to choose from that I could have eaten there every day for a week without ever having the same thing twice. Plus free mimosas!

I highly recommend Das Tegernsee for couples who want a romantic getaway, and it would be great for a group of girlfriends traveling together like for a bachelorette party.

I had an excellent stay while staying at Das Tegernsee hotel. The service from all members of staff was excellent with advice on restaurants in the area, plus use of Taxis and public transport in the area.
The view from the restaurant is a great way to start your day over breakfast. I would highly recommend staying here.

A true experience in luxury. No detail goes unnoticed here. Friendly staff, beautiful rooms and a magnificent lake view.

Fantastic location, wonderful views and excellent service. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Best ratings go for breakfast, indoor pool and dinners. Only critic goes to the spa and massage offer. It doesn't deliver to expectations of such a hotel and/or price. Wellness area is also small.

Beautiful hotel with a stunning view, surrounded by even more beautiful Bavaria!
I had a small, single room (though not a great view). It's comfortable and with simple, modern designs. The bed was comfortable- but I wish the blanket/comforter was bigger. The bathroom shower was amazing. The hotel is situated on top of a hill, very close to the Tegernsee bahnhof; however, you may want to take a taxi as the hills is very steep. There are bikes available for rent directly from hotel for the more active guests- I biked around the lake and it took me about 3 or so hours, including the time that I got lost and walking the bike up hill in various parts. The hiking trail is behind the hotel too. The hotel breakfast was included in my rate- and it was a lovely spread with a variety of different things, although they seemed a bit short staffed. I did not have the opportunity to use the spa amenities. Hotel staff were great and able to accommodate my needs as I did not speak very much German.
