It is a very beautiful cathedral, with amazing architecture. We climbed all the way on top via the circular stairs. At some places, the stairs are very narrow but it's not too bad. You will get some nice views of Rhine river.

Awesome. The outside cathedral is beautiful. Inside you can find the three wise men tomb inside a golden chest . The stained glass windows are amazing. This place is a must when visiting Cologne.

There are 3-5 cathedrals that are absolutely majestic in Europe and the Kölner Dom is certainly one of them! A UNESCO heritage, construction went on for over 600 years and was luckily protected from extensive damages during World War II. A magnificent and exemplary Gothic architecture! You have to experience it live and not on photos!

A fantastic PLACE. Whenever I am in Cologne, visit this holy place.
Added to the UNESCO World Heritage List of culturally important sites in 1996, this cathedral is may be the best in the world. On 18 August 2005 Pope Benedict XVI visited the cathedral during his apostolic visit to Germany, as part of World Youth Day 2005.
The structure is huge and the interior is gorgeous. Pride of mankind.
Must visit place if in Germany!

Very beautiful. So close to the train station. I went during the beginning of winters, so could witness the amazing effect of playful sunlight. The colour of the cathedral changed from dark to bright as the sun shone through the clouds. It's just beautiful. There's a market closeby, don't forget to buy Cologne (perfume) and eat pretzels!

Completely mobbed by tourists, but impressive all the same. Most of the interior is off-limits to tourists, but you can have a look from the back of the church and admire the vaulting ceilings and the stained glass. Not too expensive to get a ticket to climb up one of the towers, but there are oh so very many steps, so keep that in mind. The top is all caged up, which is a shame, but it's still interesting.

Absolutely stunning. I had such a wonderful time inside the Kölner Dom with the stained glass, pipe organs and amazing visuals all around. It was a spectacular experience. Absolutely worth visiting.

Lots of food and shopping options. The Cologne Cathedral is just outside, so visit if you have time. Just drop off your luggage in the handy luggage storage. Check the whole platform for your train. I missed my train because I didn't see it further down the platform. DB customer service was helpful in helping me get on another train route though.
