It's a nice old castle with a Hotel inside and a nice view over Staufenberg.

The hotel was overall nice. I was a little disappointed that our room was not in the actual castle, but what looked like an extension that was built on. Everything was of course clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good.
A few downsides though: (1) very slow internet - couldn't load any videos. (2) There was a fan that automatically turned on in the bathroom and would run for 10 min or so - very loud at night and just annoying in general that it can't be turned off. (3) The food was not good at all. We paid around 30EUR a person for a special winter buffet that was terrible. I really expected more in that respect.
We will probably not stay here again, but if you are looking to, I would recommend just booking breakfast and eating dinner out.response / report this review -

Great old castle atmosphere. The rooms are very nice and clean, bathrooms are modern. There were homemade Christmas cookies to welcome us at the reception desk, the employees were very nice and accommodating. My brother was on crutches and they made sure to give him a room he could access and put his children in a room nearby. The breakfast had a great variety of foods and was included in the price
