The hotel is old but has been renewed well and is a very peaceful location to stay. It is a "5 star" hotel, but there is not really any extra compared to many 3-4 star hotels, just a nice atmosphere.

I found the staff at the hotel to be very friendly and helpful. Was a fair walking distance to the tourist spots but very close to the train station. Room were old style which i liked very much.

The Hotel is as beautiful as Pragha. The Location is Perfect, and the employees very nice.

Breakfast was not good generally and definitely little choice for vegeterians.
For this price bracket and five star expect slightly better rooms. with family of 4 also dificult to use just 1 bathroom.
lift is too small.
breakfast staff and reception could be more friendly.

Good quiet clean hotel. Room clean and well furnished. Breakfast buffet many choices and tasted good. Staff helpful and friendly. Have stayed 3 times so far and will return again.

The hotel is a charming place reminiscent of the 1920/30's
The room we clean and comfortable. Of social note we had dinner at the hotel on both nights stay and not only was the food excellent but the 2 staff in the cafe on Saturday and Sunday nights where congenital friendly and welcoming and helped make our experience a pleasant one.response / report this review -

classy hotel with somewhat dated rooms. staff is very professional, the room is large, bathroom is large although also dated. breakfast was delicious and the bed very comfortable. i was satisfied overall,but the price seems to hang on to times gone by

Loved the Esplanade hotel for its location, 5 minutes walk from train station, proximity to Old Town. The hotel had an Old World Feel. Rooms and facilities were old but well maintained and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly. I will stay here again the next time I come to Prague.

Great hotel and a logistally optimal location. At some points the service could be optimized and breakfast room is crowded at some times but one can use the hotel lobby as well.

To stay a short time the hotel is ok.
But for a longer time I would not recommend it.
