Small but nice hotel before getting into old town. Supermarket is neighbor but close at 6PM on Mon-Fri. Parking area at the back.

Friendly staff, very cute room, and great location. It's just a few minutes walk to the old town area. Good wifi. Breakfast was nice, they offered to cook eggs by request but we were in a hurry. Free parking too!

I know this place gets good reviews but I wasn't that impressed. On the surface, everything is just fine but otherwise I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. For example, when I arrived I was shown a nice room but that faced the busy street. As it was quite warm and the windows needed to be left open, I asked if there might be room available facing away from the street. The woman helping me really could not speak English or German (very strange for this location/business!) and, eventually, she did show me a room at the back and I was very happy until the owner tried to charge me an additional 400 krone for this "upgrade" the next morning. Additionally, the breakfast was nice but absolutely NOT worth the 8 Euros they are charging! After walking the city this appears to be at least DOUBLE of the usual charge even for the top hotels in the middle of the town. Granted, I agreed to this the day before but still feel a bit taken advantage of.
I probably would not stay there again there are a LOT of choices in CK even last minute.response / report this review
