+ the house is nice and clean
+Staff is very friendly
+Everything you need is in the room
+Fresh towels also for the beach
- the beach is dirty and to be honest there is no beach: a small rebble stone part in front of water
-the hotel is on the big road:no chance to open the window, very loud at night
-The breakfast closes at 10 am, pretty borring ( English beans, no variety, every day the same, to get "good stuff" you have to be there earlier)
- we booked the room with AC, ACs were turned off in whole building
- nothing around, you need to rent a car, a lot of broken buildings, ghost houses, poor offer on entertainment.response / report this review -

We did not stay at this hotel but had an apartment in the neighbouring building. The owner used to have an arrangement with the management at Frixos about using their pool area. Fair enough since to go to the beach people living at Frixos have to trespass through private property that belongs to our apartments. This happens every day, but it seems we have to talk with the owners to enforce this ban. Because Frixo would not honour the agreement regarding the pool area any longer.
Its not a terrible thing since our apartment had a much larger pool right next to the beach. Only reason we wanted to use their area was that they had a small playground and our daughter wanted to use it briefly.
The "owner" as he called himself (I since found out he is the general manager, but he had no trouble telling me this lie to my face) told me that I could not even buy access to the pool area because of "safety and hygienic regulations" I informed him we were not any more dirty than his guests and he since changed the story to "insurance would not cover".
I have travelled all over the world and used amenities from other hotels by paying them without issue. This guy just wanted an empty hotel. Guess its easier on him.
So I ask him if we can buy breakfast at the hotel then. He appeared to think about this for a moment and subsequently told me that "we dont do that". Why.. Because of regulations. So the"owner" cant sell us access because of regulations.. Yeah BS like I never heard before.
Forget this place. If someone tells you they cant offer you good service because of "regulations" you know they are just not service minded.
Besides the place is overpriced. We looked at it before we made our current reservation. We got a 100 SQM appartment with a real kitchen and two balconies for 60% of the cost of a "room" at Frixos. Better value out there for sure and you wont have to contend with all their "regulations" that keep tourists out of their hotel.response / report this review -

After several visits, I can confirm that Frixos is an excellent hotel located just outside of the city of Larnaca. Its consistence in service and cleanliness is the reason why so many of us return.
The staff is always helpful and the rooms are fully equipped so that one isn't forced to eat out everyday. There are a couple of grocery stores across the road with fresh meat and produce, along with a few good restaurants.
I'd always recommend this hotel for any type of traveller, especially families.response / report this review -

Отличный отель! Очень чисто, ухоженная и удобная территория, на которой есть травянная лужайка с шезлонгами, детская площада, бассейн и зона отдыха. Доброжелательный персонал. До песчанного пляжа 3 минуты пешком, очень чистая и теплая вода. Комфортабельные номера, с кондиционерамт в каждой комнате, нам достался номер 2, со своей террасой и шезлонгами, очень удобно. Вкусные, хотя немного однообразные завтраки. Тихо и спокойно, идеально для отдыха с детьми и тем, кому нужен релакс и спокойствие. Огромное спасибо девушкам в баре и администратору Наталье за душевное отношение и гостеприимство.
В округе масса кафе и баров, рекомендую таверну Пила и таверну Влачос. Цены более чем умеренные, вкусно и огромные порции.response / report this review -

מלון אינטימי ונעים. בילינו שם עם הילדים ולכולנו הייתה חוויה טובה מאוד.
ארוחת בוקר מגוונת. תפריט המסעדה אמנם מצומצם אך האוכל ברמה והמחירים מאוד נוחים.
החדרים נקיים ושירות החדרים זמין תמיד.
הצוות אדיב וחייכן. קיבלנו מהם המלצות לטיולים באזור והילדים קיבלו מהם יחס מיוחד.
יש בריכה גם לילדים וצעצועים בחצר המלון. יש מתקן שעשועים קטן שהילדים שיחקו בו בזמן שחיכו לאוכל.
מעבר לכך, הים במרחק נגיעה. יש טיילת נחמדה. ומסעדות באזור.
לא קרוב למרכז העיר והטיילת המרכזית. אבל יש תחנת אוטובוס מחוץ למלון (1.5 יורו לאדם-ילדים חינם. כל 20 דקות יש אוטובוס).
בקיצור ממליצה בחום.
