Terrible experience after already having main courses and 2 x rounds of drinks - we ordered a desert of Banana Split - it was delivered to wrong table of German from Aida ship (they ate it whilst laughing knowing they hadn't ordered it) then when we queried with the waitress told they had sent to wrong table and would we like to still have our desert, then after waiting ages for desert to arrive we queried with waitress who told us they had no more bananas. Why on earth they didn't tell us straight away - terrible service would not recommend.

Dinner with a view.
Great view, right on the water front of Willemstad. Food was ok. The mixed arepitas are the bomb. Catch of the day, was red snapper. It was good but nothing out the ordinary. Service was good. Wifi didn't work. On the weekends, they have live music played by an awesomr band. They played all kind of music and were very good

View is amazing. Service was good. And they make EXCELLENT cocktails. But the food is their weakness. Mostly deep fried pub food. Have me a serious stomach ache and diarrhea. Started to wonder if maybe something I ate sat out too long. They need to work on their menu and food offerings. Not so great there.

My recommendation: sit here and enjoy a few delicious cocktails and the amazing view, but eat elsewhere.

Hot tip: sit as far over to the left as possible. Because when the ferry boat arrives it's loud and has a really strong gas/diesel smell. Not fun to be next to that.

This place is by far the worst we've been to during our trip through South America and the Caribbean bay. Drinks pretend to be strong, but it's mainly made of ice. One of their drinks is defined as "don't drink it too much" but in the end we were wondering if there is any alcohol in it.
The staff is unfriendly, almost throwing stuff on the table.
The food (we took the snack platter) is barely ok but nothing special.
All in all, the bill is quite high as we paid USD 34 for all of this.
The only thing worth sitting at the table is watching the moving bridge.

This is a decent place to sit and have a drink. We drank some cocktails that were "okay". There was a live band playing which was nice but the volume was just a bit too loud so it was hard to have a conversation.

My wife and I ate here twice on our trip to Curacao. The first time the food was not great and the service was very slow. Thinking that it may have been a bad night, as it was busy with 2 cruise ships docked in the area, we tried again a few days later at a much less busy time. Amazingly the food was worse and the service even slower. When I say slow, I mean slow by Curacao standards. If you've never been, restaurant service in Curacao is famously poor. The iguana cafe takes it to another level. This would be a one star review, but the location is so unbelievable that it merits a star on it's own. I will not be returning to the Iguana Cafe and I recommend spending your time and money elsewhere when in Curacao. Just very disappointing.

Iguana Café is a nice bar located alongside the Handelskade in Willemstad. It lies on the opposite side of the river off the casino and the well-known Gouverneur restaurant. The terrace is quite large but there are quite a lot waiters. The service is quick, super friendly and very helpful. Also, most waiters talk Dutch which is a boon for Dutch and Belgian people. When sitting at the terrace, you can watch the ships passing by. Regularly, the floating bridge opens up to let the boats pass. At night it is lovely illuminated in various colors.

This bar and restaurant has a unique front row seat to the entrance of St Anna Bay (looks like a deep river) and next to the floating bridge. Very good drinks, fast service, and good simple food. One can eat fried lionfish here. In one seating of a couple of hours one is likely to see the bridge opening and ships or pilot boats passing by. Great place to hang out for hydration, drinks, ship and people watching

The Iguana Cafe was just WOW! I sure wish we got the name of one of the servers who helped us. She was understanding and patient when I described what I was looking for, the picky vegetarian that I am. She smiled the whole time and generously cared. We actually visited twice on our 6 day Curacao vacation and would say this is a must when you are here. The chicken strips were nice and crispy and the fries were authentic in both look and taste. Mango smoothie was very refreshing on the hot day as well. The view cannot be beaten, right on the waterway, the Queen Emma floating Bridge opened a number of times we were there, very beautiful to watch. I would fully recommend going here.

A downtown Curacao (Willemstad) tourist restuarant. I enjoyed my tuna salad, and there is good stuff for kids. It's expensive and slow as is the whole island.

I stopped at this restaurant one morning before sightseeing in Curacao.
I came for breakfast but there menu options were limited.
I guess I'm used to the restaurants in America which usually have so many breakfast options. Their breakfast menu included about only five items which consisted mainly of various combinations of croissants and eggs. I ordered the pancakes with bacon.
My OJ tasted like it was freshly squeezed - but that seems to be common in this island. The pancakes were cake like and on the dry side. But the worst part was that the bacon they served me was very overcooked. If you are familiar with what crackling is - that is exactly what my bacon tasted like! I have tasted crackling only once in my life and disliked it.
The service staff in general was friendly but like most of the service that I experienced on the island - very slow. I had to interrupt the waitresses conversation to get a table and order. In the end I also had to ask for my bill. The only reason why I chose this restaurant was the view that it offered and the cooling misting fans that help to keep you cool in the humidity.
I would return only for the restaurant features but I definitely wouldn't order the same meal again.

Got off the cruise ship and quickly pushed our way out of the cruise trap to the harbour canal. Sat next door at the Vienna Biergarten. Had a few drinks. The owner offered a ride to the Curaçao factory, ran for some groceries and picked us up thirty minutes later and brought us back down. Super friendly. The money we saved on taxi/tour fees we gladly spent at the Vienna. 👍🏽
