Beach and hotel are brilliant. Weather was typical of the carribean, brilliant sunshine, then sudden tropical thunder and deluge of rain lasting about an hour. Then blistering hot again. Luckily you had warning of it coming with the dark clouds gathering and the thunder. You could almost set your watch by it, as it normally happened around 3.30 - 5.00pm or during the night when you we asleep.

My best holiday ever. Nice hotel in nice place. Lovely beaches around and i felt like in paradise. Great selection of food on the buffet and nice drinks in the area. So friendly and hardworking employees. Would visit again.

We had great time! Piece of paradise

We had a fantastic holiday here!
Great room in the lagoon area. Quiet. Loads of activities.
Good food and good cocktails! Cuban rum at its best!

The staff was very helpful. The location was very safe!

The beach was maintained well.

I really recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved this resort. The resort itself is beautiful, the food was great, all the staff was exceptional. Lots of fun extra activities to do, but also can have a great time just staying on the resort. Also has a beautiful beach! We will definitely be returning next time we can take a vacation.

My wife and I went here on our honeymoon back in 2011 after a short stay in Havana.

The hotel is great and we had a very relaxing holiday here. The Staff were just amazing (Cuban people are just so friendly and accommodating). One thing I loved about this resort is that it was adult only so was really peaceful, if that's what you're looking for.

For the most part, the food was very good but could be somewhat basic at times. I'm guessing this was to do with the embargo and only being able to use home-grown ingredients, not sure. Certainly not a complaint, though.

The entertainment was just as you would expect from a resort, with singers, acts, pianists etc.

The rooms were spotless and cleaned regularly.

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but we were also able to use the facilities of the hotel next door, which included a more lively pool, a disco at night and also some stalls selling souvenir type gifts.

I would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

I've been there 3 times. I love this resort. The beach is awesome. The food is actually good as are the drinks. Generally the staff is friendly. The fact that it's adults only and that it's a small resort makes it very relaxing. The rooms are cleaned daily. My only negative is that the service at the lobby bar is iffy. Sometimes the service is great but there were numerous times I sat there over an hour without any service despite the fact that I always tip. But I'LL BE BACK!!!!

Where do all these good reviews come from? Spent a week here and moved on this is why..

Where do I start, awful food undercooked and tasteless, all my family have been sick at some stage drinks in plastic glasses, en mass visits from Cuba families (350 in one day according to the manager) playing loud music and getting priority service at the bars that were actually open many weren't, skimming pizzas across the pool and deficating in it too, big out break of conjunctivitis whilst we were there

Second beach not open it was full of rubbish and had people living in tents selling drugs

If you like a mojito this is NOT the place for you as they run out of mint for most of your holiday, cocktails served in plastic glasses :-( the pina coladas are with powder

Nowhere to sit and have a drink in under 40 degrees whilst being devoured by mosquitos by the second

Don't spend your hard early money booking here,90% of the British people we met hated this place and couldn't wait to get home, and we were too!

Thomas cook were told not to send people here during July and August by the hotel and I can see why

Went Mar5-12 2017. This resort has a lot of good points. The staff is amazing. The food is actually good (it's not amazing. But it's good! Get a smoothie from Erick from 11-3 at the smoothie bar by the beach). The pool is clean, the grounds are clean and beautiful.

Cons- the resorts first floor rooms can be and smell (musty) run down. I wouldn't stay in those - try to get a room on the second +floors as ours was amazing, clean and had a nice ocean view. Depending on the room attendant who cleans the room prior to your stay, your room will either be seemingly clean(check the drawers and cupboards as they don't all the time) or will truly be clean! Shower tiles in some rooms slope the wrong way leaving stagnant water puddles. Fortunately it mostly stays in the shower. Flushing issues, sometimes the toilets don't flush because there's an issue with the water pump. Lastly I would for your comfort being a nice pillow and a good blanket, as the AC works beautifully and the rooms get nice and cool. The beds are tough but they're good.

This place draws a good mix of people and it's lively and chill at the same time. Has a lot to offer. Be nice and tip at least 1 CUC as the employees work their tails off for little income. Most comes from tips

Overall it's a good vacation spot as it also boasts access to two beaches. The beaches are clean, there are lifeguards willing to help you get beach chairs to "your" spot. The pool as I said is clean and the perfect temp. There is always someone on hand for the included activities. The sailboats go fairly far out! The wifi isn't free but it's only 1.5CUC for one hour. You can use the hour all up in one go, or log in and out and use it throughout your stay. Still cheaper than long distance calls!

The resort has 3 restaurants, 1 snack bar, and at least 5 bars. The discotheque and lobby bars stay open late (till 2-3am approx). The lobby bar is open fairly early as well but I don't have an exact time. The main buffet is open for all three meals, and opens at 7:30am. They have I think 4-5 custom prep stations and obviously a basic buffet. The hours are posted on the door. There's an indoor seating area and an outdoor seating area facing the pool. The second restaurant beside the buffet is dinner only and reservation only. It is a la carte but you don't pay. It just means you have a select menu to choose from. The cubana (I think it's called) by the beach is a third restaurant, they serve lunch a la carte without reservation, and dinner by reservation, again a la carte. Reservations are in the lobby apparently, I couldn't find it but I also never asked lol. The front desk can probably help you there.

The birds on the resort are clever, you shouldn't feed them, but they are fun to watch. There are a lot of bird varieties going through so the resort is popular among bird watchers.
