Great building, good location, good rooms, very nice staff!
The best hotel we had in Cuba, but would chose Casa Particular any day after this visit. Havanna is filled with hotels without love and people getting really bad pay. And the breakfast is just horrible. However the staff was very very nice.
Beautiful hotel situated in a beautiful place. Has art deco glass in panelling. Personnel very polite, althought not everyone of them speaks English.
THIS HOTEL HAS BED BUGS!!!!! ESTE HOTEL ESTÁ LLENO DE LAS PULGAS!!!! Stayed here with two friends this June 2017. Our room was overrun with bed bugs. We took photos and video. Politely demanded our money back. The woman at the reception desk was incredibly rude and angry that we even mentioned it. Absolutely did not refund us our money. We came back and found them that night too late to go to find another hotel so we "slept" on the roof on lawn chairs. Unbelievably terrible experience. Do not stay at this hotel!!!!

Great location in middle of old city. Impressive building with charm. Terribly noisy. Average service. Nothing works - air con out for 3 nights throughout hotel and lift constantly out of action.
15th May 2017.
A grand old hotel with touches of Art Deco glass panelling.
Unfortunately the air conditioning is poor and, because the bedrooms are large and with high ceilings, it is sweltering through the night. The Atrium and surroundings are really nice but the bedrooms do require maintenance, no doubt a very expensive task.
The roof top bar is good and there is a small stone cupola with a table and four chairs, cool with a light breeze.
Breakfast is ample and their coffee is good (and hot), though no saucers anywhere. Staff are attentive and want to help.
Beware of the offer of their liquour version of Havana rum, it is £12 a shot!!
The hotel is a beautiful piece of historic art. In the foyer there is a beautiful stained glass ceiling. It is conveniently located one short block from the Plaza Vieja, a short walk to the happening Obispo Street and to the Plaza de Armas. The rooms were okay, but the beds weren't particularly comfy, however the air conditioning and the Juliet style balcony (where I enjoyed some people watching and street views) made up for it. The friendly and kind staff treated my family so well, especially Raphael who served us good rum at the bar, and Yanarra the lovely waitress who served us our food. We stayed on the 6 April 2017. The food wasn't really to my taste but at least I can say I tried some Cuban food.
Great location in the middle of Old Havana, good access to some of the squares. Hotel has beautiful lobby and a good terrace. Rooms are average but great AC and bed comfy enough. Shower not hot during peak times in mornings. Don't pin much hope on breakfast, ropey at best.
We were there about a month ago. It is beautiful, the rooms pleasant not very luxurious, but good AC, tv, my shower couldn't get hot water and they couldn't fix it, so I took brief showers. Great location. I would stay there again but would make sure I had different room as I am sure they will never change mixing valve. The staff couldn't be nicer
Could be better
Great bar and service in a beautiful setting, but the rooms are pricey.
Nice hotel in the old town. I would recomend this place if you go to Cuba.
