Gone downhill since Breezes no longer in charge. Food just OK, even for Cuba. Many rooms have problems with leaking ceilings, mold, peeling paint, toilets not working right. 24 hr. snack bar is worst we have seen in many trips to Cuba. Would not return.

Out of this world place, friendly staff very helpful. Beach is beautiful and clean, always a seat to site on, the outside pool is cleaned every day, and there is always seats available. The food there is very nice and a good selection, coffee is nice although I am a tea drinker tea not nice there, not sure if it the milk that makes it taste funny, friendly staff to serve you coffee or water and find you a table, tipping is always good when a waiter or waitress has done a good job. They always have a smile on there face, tipping is a way to say thank you where ever you go in or around the hotel, even if you go into the shop for a pack of biscuits or just leave it on your bed for the maid. A good thing to remember is don't leave anything on the bed if you want it as your maid will take it.

Great hotel, we were there 4 times when it was Breezes Varadero. Close to town, excellent staff, you see the same staff year after year. Could use some updates but . This is Cuba.

One of the nicer places at a reasonable price.. food very good but buffett can be monotonous though good, there are two specialty restaurant one being hard to get into because it's exceptional. Late evenings can be a little bit of a meat market with in the late 20"s early 30"s group with heavy drinking even though during the days signs of all age groups can be seen. Nice not to have young children around and staff is absolutely great. We booked run of the room and ended up with a beautiful garden sweet.

Beautiful beaches, wonderful staff. We were warned not to expect much in the way of food in Cuba, but the meals here were very good. A great experience. I would definitely go back again.

Mixed feelings about this place. It's nice and has everything you expect from an all inclusive in Varadero (beach, pool, water activities, entertainment, bar all day, buffet), but I can't say I would go back.
We stayed 2 nights and that was ok for the price we paid.
What gives me mixed feelings? We were first allocated a room just above the night club would that be the first room I hand out when the hotel is not full? We were changed to a room that was extremely humid and had it been for more than 2 nights, we would have asked to change again. I don't know how the other rooms were.
The buffets were ok, but after 3 days, we already had enough. More and we'd had gone to eat outside.
The staff gave mixed feelings. Some were really nice, some not so friendly, some needed warming up before give out smiles
The amenities were ok. Too much wind for any kind of water sports so can't judge those. We played tennis, it was nice. Not all the jacuzzis were working when we were there.
In conclusion, the place was ok for what we paid, but it's not worth the full price I've seen advertised at the reception.

Terrible Experience.
Food was bland and always recycled, hygiene was severely lacking.
Bed sheets are not changed when Room is "cleaned", towels are stained, paint falling off walls, dirty mirror, lizards in room, as door not properly fitted, so the animals can come and go as they please.
There was a small gravel stone in red beans, also there was a large piece of plastic once I cut open one of the bread rolls. A dead bat fell on top of our dinner table, and it took staff a long time to remove it- incredible!
Also stick to bottled water if you are brave enough to stay in this house of horrors, as water served from bar is the same used in Bathroom, we were informed we can fill our bottle up from the hotel bathroom - trust me don't do this, one would expect in a "4star" all inclusive resort that they would provide guests with bottled water or at least seperalty treated/filtered water.
The staff seem to have an attitude problem, maybe this stems from a management issue but basic customer service is missing. However there was one waitress in the resort who was very helpful.

On the plus side - the Crystal clear turquoise waters, and the white sand beach are incredible!
- the entertainer for the nightly show was very good
- the entrance lobby area as you enter looks great from the outside brings you back in time

The hotel is not a Breezes brand anymore. it got bought off by the Cuban government and resold to private Cuban ownership. The first room we got was in abhorrent condition. dirty, toothpaste marks on mirrors, leaky AC, warm mini fridge , too few pillows, paint peeling off all doors, dust everywhere, etc. After a day of moderate rain, amy Gf and I came back to our room to find it fully flooded. after complaining to the manager, he confessed that this waz expected behaviour and room 156 was the worst in the hotel. There is something to be said for honesty but this kind of brazzen admission of lack of maintenance and customer service accumen was telling. Extremely disappointing. Paid over 1200 CAD per head for extremely mediocre hotel. the saving grace was one nice waiter and amazingly gorgeous beach and on site snorkeling for a small fee. the less i talk about ghe "food", the better.

Just got back from this resort. Workers are very helpful the rooms spacious and very clean. The food is good. Pool and waterfront great. I really enjoyed it. The Cuban people very friendly willing to have you enjoy your visit.The old cars are fun try to get the convertibles because the enclosed cars have no air and most windows don't go down. I really enjoyed Cuba and don't believe all the negative suggestions enjoy enjoy

First time in Cuba so didn't know what to expect. But the hotel was very well laid out. First time I have been to a pool where there have been lots of loungers un occupied. Beach smashing, entertainment great. Lots of choices of food but it was a bit bland but always a burger or salad to eat. Lots of Canadians there who have been before and come well equipped with flasks with handles on to take Away with drinks in. We'll worth it

The building is badly maintained which I found out after torrential downpours. Service was average, the cleaners offered a better more attentive service than the bar staff and waiters. It's ok for the money I paid but is very dated. Food was good but not all restaurants were open. More often were not were closed at the times that were advertised when I booked (at times only one restaurant was available out of the four)

Spent a week there from April 23-30.
We stayed at the 2 bedrooms villa . Living room on the first floor ,two spacious ensuite bedrooms on the 2nd floor. Our villa was away from the poolside where there is a stage with live performance every night until 10.30pm. The rooms were clean and quiet. One cigar and a bottle Havana Club were greeted you in each room when you arrived ! 🍻 🍷🍸
It's a minute walk to the beautiful beach.
But on the last day we have no hot water for shower. I'm okay with that 1/7 night no hot water.😆
The buffets at the Jimmy's and beachfront El Mirador were great ! But stay away from the A la carte at the Japanese and El Mirador restaurants !!
The service was great, they always greeted you with big smile.( If you always tip them 😆)
I believed the resort is 22 years old, need major renovation.
We have a great time staying there.!!

Stayed for a week from February 25th to March 3rd 2016. First impression is very important to set the mood and the structures look "tired".
Fortunately this is the only real complaint I have, considering what we paid.
Food was decent, plenty, and we could always find something to like.
Drinks were good, the beach is one of the best you can wish for, especially if you have kids, but the strongest part is the staff.
Everyone was very friendly and at the same time very professional.
The dancing show that was taking place pretty much every night was excellent.
For comparable price all inclusive packages, you can't go wrong with Bella Kosta.

Spent a week. Feb 17-24 Great service and excel beach. Noisy at nite but not too bad Would recommend this place
