Beautiful grounds and stunning views. What an amazing place to spend our first two nights in Costa Rica, it is the perfect place to chill out and relax after our flight from the UK, great food, wonderful staff and the grounds of the hotel are a real treat.

Really unique micro hotel, perched up in the hills views of the city were awesome. On site restaurant also has nice views, food and drinks were great, nice breakfast too. We had a upgraded room, well worth it, very private. The property has a great, well marked trail running the perimeter of the property, the descent to the larger water fall was well worth it, the ascent up was quite the work out. Close to the airport, which is another reason we spent the last night of our trip there. Will definitely go back next time in Costa Rica

We stayed at this small resort that sits at the top of a hill northwest of San Jose at the end of our 9 trip to Costa Rica. The large spectacularly beautiful grounds are covered with meticulously maintained trees and flowers. Trails meander down to the creek that runs through a gorge. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Our room had a private deck overlooking the valley containing Alajuela and San Jose.
The dinner is served on an open air deck. The menu selections are broad. Service is excellent.
The buffet breakfast is taken at the same deck. Selections include eggs, yogurt, fruit, cereals. A platform just off the deck has fruit to attract birds.
Both check-in and check-out were fast and smooth.
This not an inexpensive resort but it is well worth it.response / report this review -

This restaurant has an incredible view of Costa Rica and the setup was quite nice but the service there was possibly the worst I have ever encountered. The food itself was actually very good but it took four tries to get my order right, despite me just ordering a regular item off the menu with no alterations made to it. I would consider going here again because the food was quite good but I would hope for a different server next time.

We've just been 2 nights there and felt as in paradise. My recommendation: don't come in the high season and you'll get a private hotel.

The grounds are so beautiful and well kept. They have trails through citrus groves that lead to waterfalls right on the resort. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The food is not that great, however, and was overpriced and underwhelming.

Unfortunately too expensive for our budget but we had a great lunch there admiring the view over the San Jose valley, even did a short tour through the property for free after lunch.

A great place to stay. They have a few waterfalls you can hike to. The staff is very friendly. A large property with lime trees, and mangos. I'm sure more fruit trees I haven't seen. They use all of their fruit from their own garden, and hand make they bread. The complementary breakfast consist of fresh fruits, cereal, hand squeeze orange juice, home made bread, and coffee. They do have a breakfast menu where you can order food from that have eggs, pancakes, and some traditional Costa Rican food from at extra cost. Great dinner and room views.

One of my favorite places we stayed in Costa Rica. Stayed that one night but I would love to come stay again longer. The pool, grounds, and views are stunning. The breakfast was amazing, the most delicious fresh fruit! (plus toast, eggs, cheese, etc) the staff were all very nice. Beautiful shower as well.

Didnt have an experience. The place looks great, but the sales attendant said she was leaving for the day when she took the reservation. I told her to reserve until she had more time to speak the following day, but DO NOT charge the credit card. She said she would only have "on file". She charged it for $2100+ anyway. THAT SAME DAY WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF GETTING OFF THE PHONE. She likely marked it down on her end of week sales sheet too.
She sent the information and terms & conditions to the wrong email for 3 months after we told her to change it.
A hurricane hit Costa Rica and our honeymoom had to be cancelled. Fernando the manager refused to refund any amount and compared themselves to Hyatt, Hilton, or any other real hospitality establishment.
He offered full credit for 12 months, but the taste left our mouths sour and we are unable to drop all things and travel to Costa Rica later in the year.
Its probably a great place, but book through a third-party with insurance if possible. They will screw you.

I spent 4 amazing days here in October. Great time of year in terms of weather. The grounds, villas, food and staff are all incredible. There is a fantastic hike (if your up for it) to a waterfall on the premises. Left there completely relaxed and wanting to come back.

Fantastic resort and a great place to relax. Stunning views from the dining area. Several pools and hot tub options. Trails for hiking and exploring the grounds. Excellent spa. Great restaurant, with many food options sourced nearby (fresh fruit, eggs, and herbs). The room was immaculate and comfortable, including a private lavatory and large shower.
