Tough course grate service lot's iguanas a real challenge had a lot of fun
Dry season but was still playable, price was fair and the rental equipment was the same. We were very happy to find a place to play and enjoyed our round and the service was good.
Very good service from the club. Front 9 was very dry.
Only public course in Guanacaste. Very challenging. Had problems years ago with previous owner. It now is managed by a great team now and has updated the course.
A gem of a little course nearby to Playas del Coco. The cart paths are a little rugged but it is a lot of fun to play and the staff is friendly
The food and friendly staff really make this place great.Really enjoyed myself.
The course is beautiful.. the food and staff are amazing.. and there is nothing like a dip in the pool with a cold beer after a round..
Great golf course for a reasonable price. The staff is awesome.
Beautiful location. Very helpful staff. Sights and sounds were incredibly spiritual
Didn't play golf but those that did said it was fine but suffering a bit from the intense 4 month heat
Apparently its a delight to play from May-Sept
We stayed at The Riu Palace and prearranged to have them pick us up at 8:00 am, at 8:10 am we called the course only to find out "they forgot". When we finally got to the course, their credit card machine was down. We played and were very disappointed. The told us the normal rate was $175 but this course might be worth $20 at the most. Check out other golf courses in the area if you are serious about golf.
Ok
I went. I saw. I would not play!!
A real goat pasture.
The "special" was $120. I assumed this would be a "Country Club" - not even a municipal course. I made reservations, apparently, with the owner on line . . . .but he didn't convey them to the person who ran the place. We still go on but had to share rental clubs - which are at least 8 years old and have never had the grips changed. The yard markers and directions to some holes are painted with spray paint on a board. Greens are horrid and should be labeled "brown and greens". Must have been some fungus or something on each green.
The alternative was the Four Seasons which was $100 more after noon. The next couple days members of our group player the Four Seasons - worth $200 more than Papagayo. Beautiful scenery.
Don't believe the brochure. We laughed when we saw it because it is not even close to reality. Save your money and play at the Four Seasons! This was the worst $120 I ever spent on a round of golf.
