Lovely place for a relaxing break. Clean rooms. But dinner substandard and expensive. Poor service for evening meal and pressured to make a booking.

A piece of art created by two charismatic San Franciscans and strategically located at a walking distance to two beaches. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Thank you Doug and Rosie for this paradise!

A fabulous property.
We stayed at Hideaway Hotel from July 8 - 11. We only intended on staying two nights, but Doug and Rosie were such fantastic hosts and owners, that we stayed an extra day. The property is gorgeous and immaculate. Every one of their crew could not have been more helpful and kind. The property is a short walk to beautiful Carrillo Beach, and a very short drive to our favorite beach in all of Costa Rica, Playa Samara. The pool on the property is heavenly and there are even iguanas lounging nearby. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. We had amazing breakfasts, all of which are included in the very affordable daily rates. We highly recommend this lovely property.response / report this review -

Nice location between Samara and Carrillo. It is steps from the south end of Samara beach. The service was excellent. The concierge service was very knowledgeable and accommodating. If you're in Samara, this place is great.

Staff is excellent. Free breakfast is very good. Room is clean. Location is awesome: all by itself end of the road and a couple minute walk to unpopulated beach and just a short drive to the best beach in Costa Rica. You will feel away from the small town Samara, yet close. The staff are all excellent, funny, attentive, and speak excellent English. The pool is small yet perfect size, well kept and there is no smell of chlorine. This is a five star experience to be sure. Don't hesitate to book now. Trust me. You will love it!!
