Watch what you buy here. Prices are very high on certain items, some produce is old and no good. They charged me a CRV even though I brought an empty bottle. Not recommended.

Great local supermarket with all the comforts of home (e.g. peanut butter)! This market has all the necessities AND MORE. Prices are normal and not ridiculously more expensive -- which is a plus for the touristy town that Tamarindo is!

This little market has the essentials and for decent prices (especially compared to the gringo market that is about 10 minutes away driving, I believe it's called AutoMercado). Their daily fresh baked breads, empanadas, and pastries are also pretty good and you can find a lot of the same specialty foods (cocoa beans, honey) in the same brands for cheaper than what they sell for in the cute boutiques closer to the main road. Good place :)

Very nice Shop with friendly Staff. They have good and cheap bread and they sell quality sandals from 2500colones. It's worth looking for these shoes :)
