Have you ever made a purchase and walked out second guessing yourself? Well I have, I rarely spend money on anything unless it's an essential. I didn't want to come to Costa Rica and get a bunch of shirts, shorts, and chachkas. You can order it on Amazon and save yourself a ton of money.

So I looked up jewelry, like actual handmade jewelry and stumbled across EK Art on Instagram. I fell in love with the work and have not been able to find anything like it anywhere in the States. Not only is their jewelry beautiful, but it's worth what your paying, believe me. A lot of passion and craftsmanship goes into their works of art. My fiance in his early twenties worked for one of the biggest crystal dealers in the US. He knows the quality of the crystals and precious stones. He was impressed and that's hard to do.

I bought a larimar ring and larimar and pearl bangel. Simple and stunning, versatile and very indicative of the Costa Rica vibe. I also bought for evening wear, a combination of three rings to wear together, garnet, moonstone, and citrine. The owner let me try on everything and I wasn't exactly dressed appropriate (meaning I walked in there with a bathing suit and Sandy flipflops) No one harassed or pressured me to buy anything, he was confident in his and his wife's work, like a true artist. The work to me, is as beautiful as David Yurman, but it's handmade, and more unique.

So overall, you have to go here! Why spend 60 bucks on chachkas and stuff your never going to bother with a few months from now when you could go and have a beautiful experience and purchase a unique work of art from wonderful people whos shop reflects the true beauty and elegance of Costa Rica? 11/10. Will have a lot of jealous co-workers, family, and friends upon returning to the States. Worth every single penny!

Small boutique with a great tasteful jewelry designs. I was walking in all the stores in Tamarindo beach looking for something special to treasure that remind me the beautiful trip to Costa Rica when suddenly, I stumble by this place, it was the only place who offer something different to the rest , beautiful and well done designs made from local fossils, seashells and gemstones. You won't find this quality of craftmanship easily around. Bravo for this young couple! Don't miss it, Highly recommended.

Beautiful and high quality handwork with sterling silver and local seashells, sea glass, fossils and natural gemstones, very original designs made by their owners. I just love this place! This is the most lovely shop. I visited it in April of 2016 while on a yoga retreat. I always look for a signature item from all my trips. I found the most lovely blue druzy crystal necklace on a silver chain. I love it. I loved it so much when I came home I started following them on social media. It's there I found other lovely pieces I needed. I worked with the owner Laura to make another necklace. I also ordered earrings as gifts. She helped me to get these to the states. This store has unique hand made jewelry- perfect as a special remembrance of your trip or for gifts. I recommend this store.
