We had dinner here on our honeymoon on Christmas Eve and it was the best meal we had in Monteverde and is probably the most upscale dining experience you can grab in the area. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was great. You must order the mango mojito!!

My wife and I had a great dinner here on Christmas. One of the better places we ate in during our honeymoon around Costa Rica. I got the tenderloin and she go the pork special. We both really enjoyed the atmosphere and food.

The plantain soup was an interesting taste but not hot enough, the black bean soup was nice and hot but a little burnt. The chicken plantain and chicken guava were weird and just not amazing

I can't recommend this place highly enough. The food and service were fantastic - a true gem in Mote Verde. It's a little farther away from the fare downtown, but worth the trip. This place is perfect for the discerning locavore, sourcing its produce and cheese locally, and getting the fish and meat from just a few hours away (Pacific coast and a cattle farm near Alajuela). The cocktails are delicious, wine selection is excellent, and the beef tenderloin med-rare is one of the best I've ever had. While the pork croquette is delicious, the veg/cheese one is transcendent. Give this place a try if you're in the area.
