The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Good value. Our room was a little dark, though. Try to get a room at the back with windows that look into the forest. There were plenty of blankets and the bed was comfortable, at least.
Big rooms but very poor lightening. Different experience :)
Dogs barking all night, the hotel moves in the wind and you can hear it creaking also the wind goes thru the walls making cold at night not a good place to stay
This is a truly Amazing place! And it is all thanks to the owners. Really nice and helpfull people! Reserved all our activities, gave great tips where to eat, breakfast is good, room Also. We got a free upgrade and at the end spend three nights in the familyroom. Had a kingsize bed, badroom, an extra room with bunkbeds and a little balcony.
Stayed here for during a tour. Simply and clean accommodation. The rooms were cosy but small. Some of our other members had a room that was a bit damp with very poor lighting. One of the highlights was the hummingbird feeders on the second level. It was wonderful to sit and watch them during the afternoon!
We got the last room in the place so maybe that's the one they only rent out when they need to. Had a musty smell, was facing the parking lot. Walls were quite thin, could hear everything going on around us. The front desk and the 3 brothers who run the place are very helpful and knowledgeable about activities to do and will book them for you. Breakfast is included, it's a traditional CR breakfast, rice & beans, fruit and eggs.
Great hotel, staff, and price. As others have said it does feel like you are staying at someones home not at a hotel. For $50 we stayed in the honeymoon suite which came with a king size bed, balcony, and bottle of wine. The bed was confortable which is always important to me. Great breakfast. Only con to this room for us was our room did not have hot water. Also the wifi isnt overly great but it is about the same as the higher end resorts we stayed at ealier in our trip.
