Nice for the price. Very good food. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Next to a veterinarian, so expect barking dogs at night.

Filthy and the positive comments are misleading.

Cons
First of all, the rooms and beds aren’t clean. The bed sheets don’t fit the beds (see photo) all of the towels and sheets are stained and don’t smell great.
The room floors weren’t clean either. There was stains dripping down the walls from the BROKEN A/C unit over the bed.
The worst thing is there’s a pet hotel next door (see photo) and the dogs are left outside all night and BARK AND BARK AND BARK AND BARK you get it.

The up side is they have a great free breakfast and a nice pool to lounge and do some work by. That’s about it.

Cute boutique hotel. No fuss, clean and inexpensive. Perfect for a night out and close to the highway that takes you to the airport. The shower could be cleaner tho.

I needed a place close to the dentist and chose this place. It's surrounded with plants and sitting areas inside and outside. The pool is nice. There is a cafe right there to get food and drinks.
Good breakfast! Nice staff.
There is also a convenient store and subway across the street open late.
A/C works good, beds are comfy and wifi is pretty good when everyone is t on it.
I recommend staying here for sure!

Very clean and quiet. Close enough to downtown to access all the various unique neighborhoods that surround downtown San Jose. The breakfast was good as well.

KC Hotel is NOT honest and will take advantage of you!!! I had set up an airport taxi through KC Hotel, Miguel Guevara (Reservaciones y Ventas) told me the taxi would be $28 USD. When I arrived at KC Hotel I was charged 42400 CRC (colones) which equals $76 USD. I was extremely tired from traveling all day and was sick from parasite I pick up in Guatemala and so at the time I did not realize how much I was paying (I paid in colones) for the taxi. After checking I went straight to my room and went to sleep. Next day I hopped on a shuttle at 5:30am and when on the shuttle I realized I was WAY over charged so as soon as I had internet I emailed KC Hotel to let them know I was over charged. They told me they would look into it HA! They never did and I never got my money returned. This hotel is dishonest, will take advantage of you, lie and steal. I PROMISE you can find a better hotel in the area with nice staff who won't rip you off and take advantage of you. Trust me!! KC Hotel is a JOKE and I highly recommend you find a different Hotel to stay at!!!! January 19, 2017

This hotel is really good looking, has a great swimming pool and is a great place to relax. Food and drinks were good, and I had a great stay here. The only reason why I am giving it a 4 star is because when I got there with my two roommates, they gave us a room that smelt really bad and didn't looked like it had been cleaned. We found a tray with Marijuana on the desk in the room, and we obviously knew that we could stay there for the night. In all fairness the staff handled it well when we told them about the situation, and they ended giving us a suite since there were no more regular rooms. That was a fantastic thing for them to do on their end. It appears they had mistakenly given us an occupied room, and they said they were deeply sorry for that inconvenience. Overall though, it's a comfortable place to stay when the room is cleaned and unoccupied haha! :)
