Very cheap and worth the money - but not more. The beds are big and quite clean, however the bathrooms are horrible. The kitchen and the community area are very nice. The host is a very friendly and crazy guy who invests a lot of time to help toirists to find good and affordable experiences. There is even free access to the gym next to the hostel.

This has been the best hostel in Costa Rica so far. The kitchen is perfect to cook your own stuff and hang around with other friendly backpackers. The rooms are in a former shopping mall and have thin walls between them. The shower is hot. The manager Pablo is very friendly and hangs out in the lobby so you can drop your questions any time of the day and night nearly. He can book you tours and is trustworthy for that. However, asking fellow backpackers can also be of help to find the non commercial places in town (they exist!).

The place was clean enough and the shower was warm, but the vibe wasn't very welcoming. We switched to the Hostel Backpacker down the street for the same price with much better accommodations.

This is a good budget place. It has small dorms, hot shower, kitchen and good common area with a big TV that has netflix.
The gym music others complain about is there but I didn't was a big deal. Security is an issue as door is always open. They could do with a key card system.
But the staff are friendly and I would return.response / report this review
