I did a waterfall canyoneering adventure with this company. The day was great, everyone was friendly and they take safety seriously. The lunch after was one of the best meals I had while travelling through Costa Rica.

Fun group of guides on our whitewater rafting experience. They make everyone feel safe, training on shore before going in. Accidents can happen, but it seemed like safety was the main concern both before and during the action. Spotters in kayaks are with the boats and other boats generally stay within sight of each other. A brief fruit snack stop at the side of the river where a few random cattle were stopped for a drink was welcome before the last few rapids. A little chance to chat with other adventurers or just have a stretch to better enjoy the last few minutes on the water. The rapids you face will depend which river you ride.

Book this company for two tours. The first tour was the lost canyon tour plus hotsprings with transportation from San Jose area. Very professional, safe, and fun. My only suggestion would be to let the repellers go down a bit further down the waterfalls before having to zipline to the bottom. The last waterfall 200+ feet, but in reality we only got to bounce for 20 feet maybe. The Los Lagos hotsprings was included and we were taken there directly after the canyoning. This made our check in to our airbnb rather late which was unsettling so we ended up leaving the hot springs after an hour or two to make sure we could get in our hotel. The second tour was zip-lining and hanging bridges combo. I know they dont directly operate these tours just provide the transportation, but the ziplining views were awesome (when it stopped raining) and the hanging bridges were cool, although not many animals to be seen. Overall it was a great experience.

Can't recommend this company enough for your different adventures in Costa Rica. We booked them for 3 different things (canyoneering, zip lining, and white water rafting). They pick you up and drop you off at your hotel/resort, which was so helpful for us since we didn't have a car. The staff is super fun and genuinely seem to love their jobs. The cayoneering is a great experience. The zip lining is done through EgoGlide, which was also wonderful! We did white water rafting on New Year's Eve in the pouring rain, and still had a great time. Our guide "Chello" made it extremely fun despite the weather. Use these guys for your adventure booking, you won't be disappointed!! :)

Forgot to mention the lunches in my first review. The provided lunch for us both days - which was INCREDIBLE. This is no bagged/boxed lunch - they have home cooked meals with rice and beans, chicken, salad, etc. It was fantastic and a great addition to our days.

Me father and I used this company so far for canyoneering in the waterfalls and river rafting. I must say that we were extremely impressed. The guides transitioned from english to Spanish constantly in order to make sure everyone felt included in conversation. They were very accommodating in providing towels and delicious food as well as made sure we spotted wild life as we enjoyed our adventure. The staff was very informative and kind and we felt like we were treated extremely well in a group and later on a private rafting excursion. I will recommend this Adventure tour group to all my friends.

Highly recommend these guys. We were in between Desafio and Pure Trek but I'm glad we went with these guys. They were so friendly and fun and taught us cool things about local wildlife along the way. And even though they offer a photo package, they're okay with you bringing GoPros and other cameras and even have helmets with mounts already on them. Lunch was great at the end too.

Great staff, fun activities, we were only two for a full day activity and they had a full staff working just fir us. They were very accommodating and friendly. The prices are are not cheap but you get what tou pay for, not only the activity but also pick up and drop off wherever you want, and snacks and food depending on the time of day. Very recommended.

Desafio was very professional and had clean new facilities in town and nice transportation. They have a great set up with delicious lunch! Guides have a great sense of humor, people I would hang out with! We did the 4 hour Canyoning and the little waterfalls and split activities kept it interesting and thrilling! Highly recommended!

Amazing experience. We did the waterfall rappelling and rafting, and I would do it all over again. Our guide, (super) Mario, and his crew were absolutely the best. We're a family of four including two teenage sons, and we had a great day in Arenal thanks to Desafio. We did a combined tour, with canyoning in the morning and horseback riding to La Fortuna waterfall in the afternoon. Both were super fun, and we felt like we were in safe, capable hands the entire time. Also, don't worry if you don't have a car. They picked us up in our hotel lobby and provided transportation throughout the day.

Great group of people, very knowledgeable. They took many great pictures for us. Pictures are $25 per couple (about 80 pics) which was a very good price compared to a horseback riding tour we did in Jaco which wanted $15 for around 5 pics and we didn't like any of the pics. They really know their stuff. It was adventurous but you still feel safe and well taken care of. There was good mix of rappelling, hiking, waterfalls, and scenic views. The lunch provided was delicious. If you only have time to do one thing in Arenal area, highly recommend doing this one.

Great rafting experience. We were a family of 4 (kids of 16 and 18) and had a boat for our own (and the guide). The tour was fantastic. Just right for us. It was a grade 2-3 rafting. Guide was very nice and good in spotting animals.
