Visited here several times while on vacation in Coco. The service was amazing (do keep in mind that Costa Rica restaurants tends to be a bit slower than restaurants in the US or Canada.) The food was amazing (recommend the brisket,) and something to note, this restaurant/bar serves beer that is brews right below the upper deck! ~they brew their own beer~ Its very good beer but if you are not a beer drinker, not to worry because they also have a full service bar.

Family and friends out for dinner. Most of the group had bbq ribs, potatoe salad & beans. Everyone had a great meal and drinks. ( happy hour)

This was one of the best bars in town. Not any more. The new management seems to have lost the grip. There's a lot of money invested in a new brewery in the back, but staff is untrained and clueless. In 30 minutes, we saw 2 tables leaving since they couldn't place an order despite 3 waiters present. We got our first round at the bar, and had to wait 15 minutes for the second order at our table.
Oh, and serving water in plastic cups with plastic straws shows they also don't care about the environment, not a good move in a town that has tons of environmentally aware scuba divers

Super friendly staff, great atmoshpere, and cheap prices. The portions were decent and my friends and I were even greeted by the owner to see how we were doing. Definitely worth the visit!

A fairly affordable place to eat in Coco. However when we went there they were remodeling their kitchen so it was an extremely limited food menu. But they had a lot of different beer on tap. They also had four really cool swings that you can sit on overlooking the street.

Great place for beers and to hang out. Movie night is also fun. We met a lot of great people here. Food is good but be selective. You can even experience wildlife here!

OK food, average service. Why are all the employees constantly eating behind the bar? Kind of gross, restaurant 101 is don't have employees eating in view of customers. Or at least give them a break and have them sit somewhere but constantly snacking while your being served is a turn off. Can you stop eating and get me another beer?

This is definitely a local sports bar tailored to the local Ex-Pat community. The sports signs are mostly American and European sports teams which fits the patrons closely. Loved the bar and the grungy feel of it. Would easily come back if I lived in the area. Great prices for good beer and pub food.

Usually quite busy, owner is quite social. Usually show sports, even hockey if they can get it! Usually great for Super Bowl.

Very touristy and poor waitstaff at the bar. Given bill in American dollars, when paid with dollars they shortchanged us over 10% by returning change in colones.
Also, their "craft beer" Angry Goat, supposedly brewed in Playa del Coco, skip it and get an Imperial or anything else.

We stayed in a local condo nearby and did most of our own cooking. Once-in-a-while we went out for dinner in Coco. We tried this place and I was totally disappointed. We were 2 adults and 4 teens. It's American-style food done poorly and very expensive. None of us finished our plates. The service was slow. There's nothing memorable about this place. There are much better places in Playa del Coco

The food was lousy. The chicken with the casado plate seemed to be covered with a ketchup-like salsa. There are better meals for less money in the area.
