This hostel is a great option for someone who wants a nice bed but also wants a cheap price. Showers are nice but cold, expect that in Costa Rica. There are bugs but nothing some bug spray cant deal with. Everything in Tortuguero is conveniently located to everything of notice there. Wi-fi is pretty decent and there is a shared kitchen. Best thing is each room is private, no dorms. Would recommend if you don't need any luxuries.

Stayed at meryscar for 3 nights. Enjoyed our stay, liked the isle & the rooms in this simple hostel. Was hard for us to leave, will come back asap!

They give free coconut juice. Staffs are very friendly and nice people. It'd be better if wifi doesn't stop working sometimes but you get to see cool animals and birds there if you are lucky. Fans are provided to every room. I had a comfortable stay there.

FR: Cet établissement s'améliore chaque jour. J'ai passé 3 nuits là-bas et j'ai dormi mieux que chez moi, sans blague. Les propi sont comme de ta famille depuis le minute 1, et tu fais des amitiés avec lea autres personnes automatiquement. De plus, il est l'un des moins chers de Tortugueros. Si j'ai la chance de revenir en Tortugueros, je resterai au Meryscar sans doutes!

ES: Este hotel mejora cada día. Je dormido tres noches aquí y he estado más cómodo que en mi propia casa. Los dueños son muy amables y simpáticos, la habitación tiene lo necesario y la ducha y el baño son cómodos. Esta a 20 metros de la playa aprox y es de los mas baratos de Tortugueros. De verdad, no quería irme de allí. Si algún dia puedo volver a Tortugueros, sin duda reservaré en Meryscar!!

Da lasciar perdere quasi da ogni punto di vista, camere sporche, personale tutt'altro che cordiale, cucina comune che cade a pezzi, sporcizia ovunque per Per lo stesso prezzo si trovano posti di gran lunga migliori.
