The afternoon (sunset ride) was GREAT!!!!!!! Fabio our guide was incredibly nice, polite, knowledgeable and funny. My husband got to ride on a horse called “Chicken” (who became his best friend for life) and I rode on “Aguila”. They were both great, calm and well behaved horses. The views are just breathtaking and it was such a unforgettable experience to be in contact with nature that way. I truly recommend this place and this activity to all ages!! Dnt miss out this opportunity when in Monteverde! Ah! If you do the afternoon ride, bring a coat, as temperatures can go down a little or it can get windy sometimes. #PuraVida
This was my favorite part of visiting Monteverde besides visiting the cloud forest. I highly suggest the sunset ride it was beautiful and a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Our guide was awesome and pointed out sloths, owls and other animals on the trip. We were able to pick up the pace at times too which was great too. Bring a sweatshirt! It got very windy!
Do the sunset ride, but wear a coat! Our guide was great, he spotted many owls for us and even a sleeping sloth. The paths and uphills were great. Even got to take the horse for an almost Gallup. Guide took great pictures of us as the sun was setting. Made for a memorable experience. Second best thing in the area after the cloud forest reserve.
A good place to enjoy nature and ride a horse.
Great horseriding for beginners and a 2 hour session for $45 is fairly reasonable. If you're looking for something a but more exhilarating then look elsewhere as this is just a 2 hour stroll through the wonderful grounds they have in monteverde. The sunset over the hills is breathtaking
