CR surf trip went above and beyond to give my daughter her first proper surf lesson! At 4 years old she was standing up on the board and smiling from ear to ear :) She now loves surfing thanks to such a professional yet fun first experience. We love CR surf trip!

Planning our visit to Costa Rica through Costa Rica Surf Trip was the greatest decision! Meg and Jairo took the time to work with us prior to arrival to customize a unique experience for my friend and I. They listened to what we wanted to do (surf, explore, nightlife) and fully delivered. They set up beautiful accommodations for us, which we never would have found on our own, and gave great recommendations as far as restaurants and places to check out in town.
New to surfing, my friend took lessons from Jairo and was able to get up for the first time. He's not only a patient instructor, but took us to the most beautiful beach away from the crowds for a really memorable day of surf.
Their knowledge of CR really sets them apart. We trusted them with all our transportation needs which was a huge relief and totally worth it (do not bother renting your own car). They showed us hidden beaches and a gorgeous waterfall only true locals know the location of.
The trip went beyond my expectations and I cannot say enough good things about working with CRSurfTrip! Meg and Jairo really made us feel welcome and I definitely look forward to working with them soon!

Had the absolute best time ever in Costa Rica. Special thanks to meg and Jairo at Costa Rica Surf Trip for making my getaway so much more than a tropical beach vacation. As a tourist unfamiliar with the land or what to do, I asked recommendations on everything which meg was always quick to respond, and even accompany us! As all travelers know, meals and excursions can add up quickly on vaca, but meg showed us how to spend colones and where and where not to find the best exchange rates. Since so many of the sights you’ll want to see are “off the grid” I definitely recommend having them take you around. Although cars are rentable, it seems like a waste of money and more of a hassle since everything you’ll want to do in the towns are accessible on foot. The excursions we went on definitely required an AWD truck and local knowledge since the dirt roads leading to the sights were unlabeled and rural. Having the transportation covered, allowed us to relax, kick back and just enjoy the trip as they took us to beautiful jaw dropping destinations one after the next! Can’t wait to come backPura Vida:)

I had an amazing time with them! I went alone but they took great care of me and provided everything for me to have a fun time there.

You can't beat teaming up with Meg, an international traveler by hobby and an architect by trade. Her travel and trip-planning experience along with her bilingual skills make her an ideal logistics and event planner in Costa Rica. And to have Jairo--- a first class professional surfer and the head of surf instruction is a dream come true!!!!

This is not just for beginners, but for intermediate and advanced surfers like myself, as well! Jairo took me to a break that produces overhead and double-overhead waves. I had a blast surfing a spot that I pretty much had all to myself: something I wouldn't have been able to find without local knowledge. Definitely looking forward to planning more surf trips with them!
