The Two Volcanos tour was amazing and definitely worth the price you pay for it. We had Augusto as a tour guide, he was unbelievable and extremely knowledgeable. He answered almost all of our questions, and when he did not know the answer, he later found out and told us. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the history and nature of Arenal

Augusto is the best !! A great teacher who has a very passion for his town, land and volcano.

You will be fascinated by Arenal's biodiversity and will have fun with the team.

    Enjoy !

This is a scam, don't book anything here. They made me pay for a round trip taxi to baldi for $10. When going back to the city cente, the taxi driver didn't appear and I lost my money. Be aware of that. The name of the taxi driver is Franklin, plate ending in 663. Don't ever get in.

Considering that the tour was from 9 am until 6 pm, I would say that the price we paid was quite reasonable. Firstly, our tour guides, Agusto and Jason were awesome - very fun, knowledgeable, and laid-back guys. Secondly, the fresh casado for lunch was an excellent way for us to recharge after the first part of our 11 km hike. Thirdly, the trails, rainforests, national parks, waterfall, and museaum were simply stunning, and fourthly, the hot river and "Costa Rican moonshine" were a nice touch at the end to cap off a fun-filled day - highly recommend this tour with Agusto and Jason!

First of all. Jeremias (the guy with the tours booth inside luigis hotel) kept 6,300 colones of my money. He didn't have change and promised to pay me later. I was there for 3 days and after several phone calls he never paid. The nightmare continued with Tour guy Wilmer. He tried to charge me an extra $20 as he was picking me up from the hotel. He said he knew nothing about my missing 6,300 colones. He only stopped asking for extra money when the pleasant guy from my hotel (luigis) asked him why he was asking for more. The hot springs in the end is definitely not family friendly. Everyone was passing plastic cups around, and yelling for more alcohol (springbreak-like) style. I'm not saying there's something wrong if that's what you're into. But It's just a free public hot spring nothing like the private relaxing $10 one i paid for.
To conclude. DO NOT BOOK WITH JEREMIAS. AND DO NOT GIVE EXTRA MONEY TO WILMER.

I booked this last minute. It was affordable, and advertised at my hostel as "the observatory" tour. Yes you get to "observe" Volcan Arenal up close for pics, but that's just the start. Wilmer our guide, was amazingly knowledgeable! He led us through the rainfilled jungle, into a powerful waterfall to swim, we saw monkeys and red eyed frogs, and ended in a hot natural thermal bath with our group. Oh, and don't forget the museum. Pura vida! It was awesome!

My husband and I were dead set on hiking the volcanos as part of our honeymoon. Stick with me through this, it's lengthy but worth it.

We were still unsure whether to go independently or guided as we were working on a strict budget. Arenal jungle tours beckoned to us as we walked by and answered every dream we were looking for. ((As a Customer Service Manager at a car dealership I will happily pay extra to be treated decently and put a high quality on service!))

Our package included shuttle services from our hotel, 2 guides, a 3kfoot gain rigorous climb to a swim in a volcanic crater filled with rain water, howler monkeys, sunset at a volcanic observatory, hanging bridges, lunch, snacks, education on botanic healing, spider monkeys, waterfall swimming, red eye tree frogs, hot springs, volcanic ash facials, and the drink of Costa Rica to end a beautiful day!

I'm challenged with RA and Emmanuel and Augustus were very understanding and extra attentive to my limits and climbing pace. There's literally nothing I could have suggested for a better experience -- all for $60/each.

    Pura vida!

My girlfriend and I went to Costa Rica a couple weeks ago and went to La Fortuna but we had an idea of what we wanted to do but left our schedule pretty open. This worked out perfectly but could have went bad multiple times. Mauricio with arenal jungle tours hooked us up and went out of his way to help us have an amazing trip. He truly helped us out and practically made our trip. We went to Baldi hot springs, zip lining, and misticos hanging bridges with transportation included all for very cheap. On top of that we decided last minute we wanted to go down to Quepos but had no way of getting there. He hooked us up with a shuttle service down there. They had called him back after we had left and said that they were full. He then called around for us and made sure he found another ride for us in the morning and had looked out for us. I recommend everyone stops by and sees him and jungle tours!

The staff at Arenal Jungle Tours is great. We picked the easiest program, which doesn't involve major steep hiking. It included a hike to a waterfall through the rainforest, transportation, trip to an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano, a hike into the jungle to see the famous red eyed frog, and transportation to the "natural" hot springs.

But I do want to warn that the "natural" hot springs experience that they include in their package is actually the FREE hot springs across from Tabacon Hot Springs that EVERYONE goes to.

If you go during the evening tour hour, entrance to the "natural" hot springs may be painful as you cannot see much of where you are going. You are also advised to be bathing suit ready and leave your belongings on the bus, which is TOTALLY safe.

Not all tour guides are great so I highly recommend Wilmer if you ever are able to request your guy. Very reasonably priced.
