We booked through sunnycar our rental car for 14 days and National was our local provider.
We are very satisfied.
The airport transport worked perfectly.
Staff speak perfect English and are extremely friendly.
The car was well maintained and in very good condition.
Our windshield wipers were broken in la fortuna, the exchange with a national partner there ran smoothly.
Are very satisfied with the service. We would book the car again anytime !!

Reserved a car. They quoted me $220 for a compact car. I showed up and all they had available was 4x4s for $730! Wasted my time and lost my business for sure

Very nice car rental company. Helpful and not so picky. Very good English speaking employees and helpful with every question. Prices compared to other companies have been also good. If we come again, we will book here.

We rented a 4x4 grand vitara from alamo and received excellent service from David.
Definitely recommend these guys!

Smooth transaction and everything as advertised. I brought proof of collision damage and theft coverage with credit card, accepted mandatory liability. Note, site is remote from airport, shuttel from airport was quick and efficient.

My car had an accident and they replaced it quickly. The same day my new rental car got broken into and my passport stolen. The thieves threw my passport somewhere and when a finder called them these guys rushed am employee to collect it and retrieve it for me. Their personnel atre absolutely amazing

If renting from National/Alamo you will have to catch the National/Alamo shuttle from SJO to their rental facility "Belen" to pick up as well as drop off.
The facility is open 24/7 and the staff I encountered were terrific.
Its hard to beat a deal on a 7 day rental in an AWD Daihatsu terios for $144 all in.
Of course I waived all the add-ons exceptt the mandatory liability insurance,and yes I had to show proof of CDW coverage from the credit card I was using in order to waive the add on insurances.
A $2000 deposit was placed on the card but that is no biggie since its always returned.response / report this review
