I am completely upset with the way my girlfriend and I were treated by hotel staff at check-in. They demanded an additional $80,000 Colombian Pesos from me which is roughly the same price I originally paid for the room when I booked through Expedia earlier that morning. They said because I failed to reserve my room for two people (which was an honest mistake) I had to pay nearly twice as much. The only reason I booked a flight through Expedia was to meet my girlfriend here in Bogota. I was so happy when she picked me up from the airport after my arrival. We had a wonderful time grabbing lunch before heading to the hotel to check-in and drop off my bags. It was at this point in time things began to take a turn for the worse. Although I made a reservation, the lady at the front desk of the hotel demanded an additional $80,000 Colombian Pesos in cash (which I begrudgingly paid) in order for us to be granted access to a much needed room. Furthermore, the hotel didn’t even bother to take the effort to put any towels in the bathroom. I asked my girlfriend to request some towels from downstairs while I took a shower. After my shower my girlfriend informs me that someone would come up with fresh towels. After 10 minutes with no response from the hotel I grew tired of standing in the shower wet, cold and naked. My only option was to use a sheet from the bed to dry off. This hotel has a facade of luxury with a smiling staff but the building is rubbish and the staff’s only concern is figuring out ways to take more of your hard earned money.

DOV:12-14June2014 The hotel is at fabulous location where you can have good views, enough restaurants and maintained very neat too. However facilities in the room needs improvement.
