Bread baskets are small, coffee containers are the smallest I've ever seen, they don't even have a HONEYMOON SUITE. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO TO THE INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL
The hotel is old but the rooms have been renovated. The beds and pillows are absolutely amazing! The most comfy I've ever experienced. Aside from the reception, all the staff was vert professional and nice. The pool was enjoyable and I highly recommend having some mojitos here, they are delicious! I do not recommend this hotel if you plan to work. The internet Wi-Fi connection is very poor and non reliable.
nice hotel, located in a really nice place in medellin, really close to parque lleras, which offers a great variety of pubs and restaurants.
Pretty good hotel. Nice pool. Ticks all the boxes. My only recommendation would be to sort out the lighting in the restaurant at the top. You can't see the amazing views outside at night.
Do not stay here, there are bed bugs! They were really nice the first night and then i got bit by bed bugs! i went to tell them and the manager told me “it was not possible because it was a new hotel.” Sorry lady, I don’t think bed bugs care if the hotel is new or not they offered to change the sheets. When they were changing the sheets we saw the bed bug and they moved us rooms. Not once did they say sorry. They acted like I was the inconvenience. We forgot our passports in the safe and they had already put new people in the room by the next morning.
Poor dining experience 3 out 5 nights. Customer service was not consistent. Room average. Our expectations were not met.
Very poor hotel. I had problems with the room: blackout, refrigerator, warm water, remote control of TV and lights is a nightmare. The personnel are not sensible with customer problems. Hope never stay there again!
The hotel lobby and rooms are very clean and inviting. I found the room to be very modern and comfortable. Most of the staff were also very helpful but the exceptions seemed to be the people that were working at the reception desk. Several of them were not at all helpful and were rude when there was a problem. They would also spend more time on the phone then helping the people that were checking in. I would think that the reception desk being the first face of the hotel that the guests see would be better staffed.
On my second night there we had a problem with the air conditioner in the room making a loud squealing noise and keeping us from being able to sleep. We called the front desk and they said that they would send someone there. A half hour later nobody had shown up and when we called the front desk they said that the maintenance was cleaning the stairs. Apparently sweeping the stairs is more important than insuring that the guests are able to get a good night's sleep. The maintenance person eventually did show up and worked on it for a few minutes but a half hour later the squeal returned. We called again and he came and "fixed" it again but a few minutes after he left the squeal was back. By that time we gave up on trying to get a good night's sleep.
This hotel has so much potential but until they get their act together I would not recommend staying there. There are many other good options in the El Poblado area to choose from.
The badroom was a bit dirty, service is good and did is just ok.
Excellent upscale hotel on the Golden Mile and conveniently located in El Poblado. Great pool
and fitness center for a workout. Friendly staff and excellent service.
You can control almost everything from the room using your cellphone or Direct Tv remote control and their food is great
Excellent hotel in an excellent location. It's completely renovated and very modern. The breakfast buffet has all kind of local and international food.
The view from the rooms is amazing you can see the whole city. The rooms are pretty big comparing them to other high-class hotels.
The staff was really kind and helpful
The room was modernized and nice. However we were disappointed to find dirt and hairs on the floor. The only fresh things about the room where the beds. Despite multiple requests to clean the room, the staff did not manage to do so. When checking out, the receptionist was very sorry which did not help us at all, and did not come up with any idea to compensate us. Other negative points where: Safe was locked, so we where unable to use it. We also did not find hotel-slippers nor bathrobes. At the pool site we had to ask a waiter for towels, which in addition where quite small and old.
All in all it was far from meeting the requirements for a 5 star hotel. We are disappointed that we had to spend our only night in Medellin in a dirty room. The hotel is badly managed, which is a pity due to its high potential.
The Dann Carlton in Cali is way better. We do not recommend the Dann Carlton Medellin.
Good hotel, great view of the city depending on where your apartment/suite is. Staff is nice and very supportive.
Old facility but good location
Buffet never changed in 7 days I was there. Location is great. Rooms are good.
I stayed in one of their larger suites. It had multiple bathrooms, multiple fridges, but was still old and falling apart and relatively dirty. The room service food was not impressive. Other Dann Carltons have been much better. I was disappointed.
We got bamboozled. Looking at the hotel's amenities online before booking, we were lied to. Rooms are falling apart. No air conditioning. Hot water is really warm water. Service is a joke. I've stayed in motel 6's nicer than this place. Compared to how this place is portrayed online, this is a dump. Maybe in the 80's this was the place, but now? It's falling in on itself and gasping it's final breaths. Don't be lied to, especially if you're coming from stateside. You WILL be disappointed. Stay away from here!
