Near flawless hotel experience. Facilities are true five-star hardware, and service cannot be beaten in Shanghai. Special mention goes to Diana and Sammi who run the executive level check-in and lounge. They've made my stay over the years that much better as they now know me by first name. I've spent two months over the past couple of years at the hotel - this should speak for itself when it comes to quality among Shanghai hotels.
Sad to hear that Kun Lun bought the Hilton. As of January 1, 2018, the hotel will no longer be managed by Hilton. I hope Sammi, Diana and the long-time hotel staff remain after the corporate handover. If the Singaporean ownership isn't up to Hilton standards or respecting the tradition of the 30+ year old Hilton which makes it what it is, I fully support the Hilton staff leaving their jobs and going elsewhere.
Thanks for the great memories, Hilton Shanghai. I hope your new owner treats you well. If so, I'll remain a loyal customer at 250 Hua Shan Lu. Otherwise, Swiss Hotel Jing'an will get my business.
Very exclusive hotel. The breakfast in the hotel was good, but the price 290RMB!!!! Lost a star there!
It is great hotel with excellent services, well located for public transport and within easy walking distant to the famous Jing'An Temple. The facilities and general decor could do with some updating though and it is on the expensive side.
Great hotel! Perfect location with some nice views. Competitive rates as well.
Great service. Front desk was really great. Manager was really nice.
Excellent hotel. Staff knows how to make you feel very welcome & resolve any issues of the day very quickly. The Executive Lounge on the 38th floor is one of the absolute best in the entire world. And the hotel bar on the 39th floor has fantastic Shanghai nighttime views, live lounge music, & ability to order anything from the room service menu directly to your table. Highly recommended!!
Wonderful experience. Great interior and lovely staff. The executive lounge was the best I've been to. Central location and positioned close to a subway station which is ideal for getting around Shanghai (faster than a taxi, and far cheaper ).
I stayed in this hotel for 15 days last July. The overall service was pretty good. The breakfast buffet was very good also. It has both Chinese and western food. The restaurant within served delicious food. The room service was quick and the maids were polite. I already recommended my colleague to stay in the same hotel. The only thing that not perfect is the size of the room. It was much smaller than Hilton in Suzhou. Probably the Shanghai Hilton was built many year ago and the one in Suzhou was build last year.
