Everything was great until I returned to the US and found my smartphone was installed with malware, despite the fact I had it on airplane mode and locked in the in-room safe deposit box the entire time. Makes you wonder what happens in your room when you're outside being a tourist.

Staff are excellent and service is top notch. Good location with shops and restaurants nearby. Hotel has been around for a while and while rooms still are OK some refurbishment will put back to the top.

No internet due to regulations. No english speaking tv channel nor movie on demand as in description. Everything is old and smells. Your grand grandma might like it. Carpets are worn and fungual. Interior looks like it was designed by Trump except everything is fake marble and gold. Drinks suck. Minibar sucks. Description of this hotel is pure lies and the fact that my biz paid 200 bux makes me puke.
Rosewood Hotel is nearby, same rate and brand new. Try that instead if you like this area.
In addition i just had the salmon egg breakfast. Got sick, threw up, contacted management. They wouldn't remove the charge and made me stay 30 mins to chat with a manager about it. I am a low key easy-to-please Scandinavian with low expectations but this was a blow below the belt. Exhausted.
Note that I used the good reviews on Google to decide on my choice of hotel. Of course 5 star reviews are served first.
This is the first time I write a bad review.

4.5 really..Great hotel for travelers who seek convenience and luxury in center city. Great staff of well spoken english speaking pros with attention to detail setvice. Great suites with large rooms and plenry of space for 4. Regency Club service and food was solid. Beautiful indoor logoon pool, saunas whirlpools and steam rooms to relax at the end of a busy day working or touring about.

Awesome accommodations. The basement pool is amazing. Relax with soothing nature sounds while you enjoy the Olympic pool or two hot tubs. If you'd rather work out, the fitness facilities are top notch. The breakfast buffet is five star with fresh fruits, meats, cheeses, eggs, and other assorted goodies. If you want a great hotel for your stay in Beijing this is the one.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of town. You can walk to the forbidden city and there is good shopping within a 20 minute walk. The pool and spa is the most beautiful I've ever seen. The staff and hotel rooms are outstanding. Great property.

The Grand Hyatt is a very nice hotel with excellent accommodations. The gym and pool are superb! The location is great - close to bus stop and subway and within walking distance of many great areas.
