Great backpackers inn in traditional houtong. Great to hang and meet fellow travellers while experiencing Beijing from local perspective. Great friendly staff, clean linen and facilities.

I've in a lot of hostels. This for sure one of the best. Good location, nice rooms and awesome staff! Very helpful and friendly. Loved it! 😍

A magic place where you can still breeze the what is left of Beijing historic heritage and relax within an authentic Hutong

Definitely the highlight of my stay in Beijing. It's a great place to make friends, go on local adventures, and stay while you're in the city. Highly recommended.

I don't know where everyone else went to, but I had several problems with this hostel. For one, the staff were not "helpful." In fact I found them rude. The place is way overpriced - 450 reminbi for a two bedroom. My aunt is coming to Beijing and I just wanted to see the area but they told me I couldn't see the darn public area because "people are sleeping." I don't know how my looking around would disturb anyone. Another thing, the map here is wrong - it is not half as convenient to walk there from the subway as it looks. I had to walk for 40 minutes from the subway through a creepy neighborhood to get there. To be fair, the part that I did see did seem pretty and the walking elderly near the hotel were very friendly in inviting me in, but I was very unimpressed with the staff.
