I would love to give zero stars. My girlfriend and I checked in and were told that they overbooked, and therefore had to shuttle us to another hotel. We were obviously dumbfounded and not pleased so we asked to speak to the manager. The manager was unable to fully explain why, even though we booked months in advance with a confirmation of our booking, they bumped us out. We left feeling disrespected and cheated. I highly recommend avoiding this hotel. They are shady, unprofessional and disrespectful.

Beautiful big clean rooms, helpful staff, good food, amazing rooftop pool, beautiful views! Our room had a balcony which was great to hang out in the evening and have a glass of wine. The gym is amazing, fully equipped, very big size, fitness trainers available!

I just had a really awkward situation there few minutes ago and I had to come here to comment it.

I had some friends there at the brunch event and I called the W hotel before going there to make sure I could meet my friends. This way I could stay for a moment and then go somewhere else with them after. I made sure I could stay in the place without joining the buffet, since I had eaten before and I was not going make part of it. After having this confirmation then I got ready and left my hotel to be there

Surprisingly when I arrive at the place the girl who spoke to me on the phone said that the information she gave me (the one I took care of having beforehand to avoid any situation) had changed and that it would not be possible anymore. I got surprised and then questioned her how it happened since I had called them minutes ago to make sure about it So another host made it even worse explaining that: "we are not sure you will be there with them and not eat or drink anything, it is not safe for us, you would have to pay for ir even if you don't consume it."

I felt so disrespected and awfully treated I looked at them hoping they would apologize for the situation and I couldn't believe at the situation I was through. Then a change never happened and I just refused to enter and continue at a such a disrespectful place. I left the place with disgust I would not pay anything after being treated so badly.

It is my 4th time in Santiago and I have been to the W hotel many times, even for celebrating my birthday once. I just did not see that this last visit would change my opinion about it. I will for sure stop recommending anyone and also mentioning this story to let my friends know about.

If you are looking for poshy place, W is just were you want to stay. This is where most celebrities (famous DJs, singers) stay when they come to Santiago. The place has good infrastructure and location. Restaurants, gym, bar, park all very close. Prices are very high, not for budget traveling.

During our week stay in Santiago, we really loved this hotel which was centrally located. Check-in was a breeze. Sasha at the front desk took his time to answer our questions about places to find near the hotel. The concierge and bell staff always greeted us with a smile and mostly important, remembered who we were after a few days. We also found the servers in the restaurants personable and they also provided a great dining experience. A Big shout-out to Natalie and Jocelyn who were our servers.

The energy of the hotel is what you would expect from the W brand. At times the music could be really loud in the lobby and it also felt like a night club. I can understand why its like that because that's the vibe the W brand offers. Our Welcome room was modern, clean and a comfortable size. The housekeeping staff does a great job servicing the room each day.

If you're looking to exercise, check out the gym on the third floor. It's a public gym so you get to mix with the locals. Guests at the hotel get to use the gym, sauna and steam room for free. The gym also offers a lot of exercise classes. What I like most was the quiet room where one can relax after a sauna or steam.

The roof deck where the pool is located has an awesome view of part of the city. It's also a great spot to go and relax. When we were up there in the middle of the day there were just a handful of people. I'm sure as the weather becomes warmer, it will get more crowded.

Convenience wise, you're about a 5 minute walk to El Golf metro station and a 10 minute walk to the Costanera Center, a huge shopping mall which has a grocery store. For those who need there Starbucks fix, there's a store two blocks away. There was an issue during check-out that was promised to us at check-in but that was quickly resolved. If we return to Santiago, we'll be sure to stay here again.
