Came here with myself and two kids in May. Everyone loved it. The location is fantastic and the price was great. We had a private family room on the top floor. It had a loft area for the kids to climb up and sleep and a grown up double bed. No private bathroom, but the shared bathroom and shower was right across the hallway; it was clean and never occupied. We had a balcony with a view of the waterfall. The picture is taken while sitting on the bed, what a view to wake up to!

Sure, this isn't a 4 star hotel. You have to pitch in and do your part, like cleaning up after yourself. Practicing basic courtesies, which if you have any responsibility at all, are not burdensome and keeps the price where it is. We found the staff extremely friendly and engaging with the kids. Being largely self sufficient, I found them as helpful as need be. There were a lot of don'ts, but honestly, if you have any sort of manners, you already knew you shouldn't. They did close the fully automated laundromat at I believe 21:00, which I did find slightly inconvenient, but that's really the only gripe I can come up with.

I recommend the place for the price. If you're expecting pampering, perhaps look elsewhere.

Best location. Very clean. All amenities you need and grocery may nearby. Breathtaking hikes all over. Very friendly staff and visitors. Love it!

Couldn't have asked for anything more. Worth every penny. I spent my first 2 nights in a hotel and wish I had stayed here first. You learn more about what is worth doing from hostels than the nicest hotels.

Even in the dorms, a couple can get a bit of privacy by sharing the loft area, if it's available. But it gets a bit stuffy and warm, even in cool weather. Everything is very clean.

Loved our stay. Wonderful village and a very comfortable hostel with great views if the valley. Very clean facility, shared bathrooms are no problems at all. There are two bathrooms for every 4 rooms. Good clean linen and mattresses. Great self catering kitchen facility. I will recommend 100% this place for its location and facilities.

Reception was super helpful on finding trails and other activities to do. They actually booked the paragliding that we wanted to do for us at no extra cost for it! The hostel is also super clean and they set standards for guests to do their part in keeping it clean which makes it a very quaint and pleasant place to be! Would HIGHLY recommend staying here if you're in the area.

My favorite hostel in all of Europe. The most friendly staff. The best views. The best roommates. The best kitchen. The best outdoor lounging space. Don't book anywhere else. They have amazing single rooms as well. How can you beat looking out your room to a waterfall in the Alps. You can't. They even gave me a free bar of chocolate thanking me for staying. "check in as a guest, leave as a friend". These guys are amazing. Book your stay here.

Camere pulite e spaziose, bagno in comune ma è ottimamente tenuto e moderno, la location è fantastica, una cascate e le alpi circondano l'albergo, attenzione tutto qui è veramente costoso.

The room is clean and big, the bathroom is shared but is modern and well maintained, the location is fantastic, the hotel is just below a waterfall and is surrounded by the Alps. Be careful here! Everything is expensive in Switzerland!

Bad smell in our room- we believe came from mattresses, would not go away even after prolonged airing. The entire place additionally smelled like oriental food all day and all night- from other guests cooking spicy foods morning, night and lunch in the kitchen area below us. Bathroom has sign reminding you not to pee in shower - not very reassuring.

When I got there I overheard the front desk guy be unprofessional to another guest when the guest asked for some rather detailed advice about local hikes. He was just ok when talking to me.

Breakfast is not worth is, you can get something better for that price at the local market. Location of hostel is good. But I would avoid it unless you really need to save some money for the above mentioned reasons.
