  Lovely chalet, very clean, great shower, really homely & comfortable. Bring all own supplies as nothing food wise left in cupboards.

  We stayed in the self-contained apartments behind the main building, rented through Airbnb. The cozy and well heated apartments were of a good size for our group of 3 adults 2 kids. One thing to be aware of for light sleepers is the very thin wall between the bathroom and the downstairs bedroom.

  I almost don't want to write this review because I want to keep this place all to myself. I LOVE this hotel. The food from the restaurant down stairs was worth every penny. If you want to have your own snacks, there's a small market across the street and a COOP store down the road. The Jacuzzi tub in the room was amazing - it slides out onto the balcony! The pool is very inviting with an indoor room and outdoor section that has a roll away roof. The spa amenities are available for use until about 11pm. If you want a massage, book early!

  Deutsch:
  gute Aussicht, gute lage, schlechte zimmer (wasser tropfte von der decke aufs bett) und sehr schlechte Bedienung (musste mit dem chef streiten, damit eine Preisreduktion stattfand. und dennoch waren es NUR 50.- bei einer Rechnung über 800.-) ich wurde sehr enttäuscht!

  it was our 3rd visit to the Hotel and as we where getting ready for the Whirlpool we noticed a dripping noise by the bed. aparently the room one Floor up wasnt watertight and dripped on our bed. the whole bed was wet. i went to the reception to ask for a new matress or a new room. the bos of the Hotel told me rudely that i'd have no chance to get a new room and as for the bed he could only give me new Sheets. (and i had to put them on myself) after such a mess i was hoping to get a bit of a discount as we where checking out. i didn't get any only after calling the manager and arguing with him for 15mins, he gave ous 50.- off. (for a tab over 800.-, 50 isnt much) so all i have to say is: it isn't as good as it's made out to be. and there are better Hotels in Kandersteg than this one

  Great traditional Swiss food, the venison sausage and spetzal is out of this world. Yum!!! Good mix of vacationing people and locals. The bar is excellent to sit at while waiting for a table. The bartenders are fantastic to chat with. Highly recommend speaking with the owner and son, very intelligent and fantastic entrepreneur for a local town

  Came here with our group. 26 in total. Fantastic food all arrived at the same time. Even offered a disco for the large number.

  We stayed several days in one of the apartments. They are clean and comfortable. The shower is cramped but usable. The WiFi was lobby only until July 3, then hotel wide available.
