Big shared kitchen. Clean linen. Fire pit. Hammock. Grill. Outdoor lounge areas. Rentable kayaks. Charming outdoor restaurant across the narrow street. Right on a couple of hiking paths. Good showers and toilet. Washer and dryer on site. Very helpful paper guides. Staff, too. Free, strong wifi.

The view is obviously incredible and the biggest selling point. We were in the 10 bed room which was all a little close for comfort with one guy rolling onto my bed in the night as they're so close (and he was a big fella).
The place is massively dated with flies everywhere. There was one plug socket for 10 of us!
The only good things were the staff, the views and the location. It sort of makes up for the bad pointsbut the bad points are easy to fix! I feel this place could do a lot better.response / report this review -

Perfect place to spend some days. Very peaceful, the views are amazing and you can go swim in the lake easily. One of the best hostels I have been in. The environment is super chill, with people from every place with a common goal: hiking and chilling. The hostel has common kitchen, which is usually kept clean by the staff, they offer free coffee all you can drink and the staff helped me a lot with places to hike around. Keep attention to the opening hours of the reception. And also keep in mind that you need to take a bus to and from Interlaken every day if you want to hike around there but it's OK for some days, totally worth for the peaceful location of the hostel. They give you a card so you don't pay for the bus.

I stayed in one of the tents and it was a very pleasant experience, considering they are smaller I preferred this to other hostel rooms with a large number of people. Only downside is it can get cold (you are given lots of blankets for your bed) and there is no outlets outside. The kitchen is very nice and I was not afraid to use it unlike other hostels, there is a large fridge freezer to store your food which helps because eating out anywhere is extremely extremely expensive. Staff were friendly, helpful and cheery. Check in times are only 4:30 - 9:30 despite reception being open. This was annoying but I was able to leave my bag behind the front desk. There is a large dining area with lots of seating, here is where you will find lots of outlets to use (probably 4 or 5, usually all taken at busier times).

This is exactly what a hostel should be. Great value with a beautiful view from the balconies facing the lake. Private sink in each bedroom keeps the bathroom wait situation manageable. Nice little garden restaurant across the way. Bikes and kayaks available for rent.

Fits the hostel description, nothing fancy but ok. We appreciated the kitchen and common area, this was a lively place good for food and internet.
