Extremely nice staff (which I've come to realize is the norm for most of Zurich), great location, good breakfast, and nice hotel all around. Although cosmetically nice, we had multiple problems within 5 minutes of check-in. First, there was a knob in the bathroom (some kind of heater I guess?) that blew the fuse once turning it. There was no sign and as far as we knew it turned on the light. All the electricity/lights in the room went out and we had to call reception to have someone come flip the circuit back. We spent the rest of out stay afraid to turn any knob or turn on any new light. Next, one of the light bulbs simply wasn't working at all. And finally, the stopper in the drain was broken and needed to be manually/forcibly removed in order to shower. All minor things, but for the money I wouldn't have expected these kinds of things to keep popping up.

Nice hotel in the middle of pedestrian only area. Restaurants and bars all around. Comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast.

Rooms absolutely not as described. Booked a suite and was given the wrong room. When we brought it to their attention immediately they said there was nothing they could do at the time, but did admit the error. We were given a different room the next night along with the promise of a refund for the first night from the manager. Five months later and we still have not received it.

Hotel is located at the centre of city. A good place for tourist. It's small, nice and clean. Sadly the room us not that spacious as seen in the photos.

The hotel location is amazing. 7-10 minutes walk from the Banhoff train station. One street from the river.
Beautiful street.
The reception is nice, helpful and kind.
The breakfast is rather rich and fresh.
The rooms are very spacious.
The bathroom is the thing that should improve. It had a bad smell, the water got stuck in the sink and there's some mold on the shower walls.response / report this review -

Not so great, has seen better days. In 5 nights in January I switched rooms twice because there was always something broken: in room 1 the heater didn't work at all (at -8 degrees outside at night), in room 2 I could not turn down the heater (was broken) and it was too hot at night. In room 3 the shower was broken. And the night clerk did not want to get me another room, but said I should stay with the broken heater until the next morning. Thanks. There are definitely better hotels in Zürich. Rate are much too high for those rooms. Not recommended.

Enjoyed a wonderful stay 2 nights 10/11 May 2017. Located in old Zurich , large room with sitting area and views over city plaza. Wonderful location close to all tourist points, able to watch the locals from our room window. At night plaza comes alive with alfresco restaurants. Compliments to reception staff member Max, who organised a day tour to the Alps for us, recommended great local restaurants and advised on what foods to try, and made us a plan for the local sites and must do's. Made us feel at home and very welcomed. Even checked up on how we enjoyed our tour when he was off duty. Vicki, Australia

Great location. I got the sweet with my two kids overlooking the restaurants downstairs. Lovely space for breakfast. We had a car but the parking was far away from the hotel. Lovely staff.

Spacious. Got the top level of this hotel. Clean and nice, superb place. Breakfast option not too much. Location is very central at oldtown area. Near the main area of shopping. Place was so lively, lots of cafe, shops, love it so much. Definitely stay here again if i am going to zurich.

The location is down below the University (a nice place to walk up to for a scenic vista), in one of the small cobbled squares that populate the eastern side of the river - full of cafes and shops. It's a short walk to the Zurich HB (train station) or down to the lake or the financial district. I can't speak of the price as work paid for this trip but our fee included a full buffet breakfast with a nice selection of fruits, cereal, pastries and cooked eggs, bacon and potatoes. The rooms are updated, and vary between comfortable to slightly small. The rooms my colleagues and I stayed in had queen beds with a euro pillow (I guess here they just call them pillows) which were firm but comfortable. My room was supplied with a fan - there is no air-conditioning but it seems Zurich is more affected by cold than heat which explains the radiator in the bath room (turned off in summer so you can't use it to dry clothes). The reception staff were friendly - in fact I can't fault any of the staff - they were all quick to smile and courteous. The hotel is fitted out with WiFi and they have adapters/converters/chargers available at the front desk in case you didn't come prepared. There are plenty of other niceties available free of charge, you just have to ask. Check the guest information folder in your room for details. It is a non smoking hotel. In short, I'd recommend it to people coming to visit Zurich and I'd be happy to return to stay here for personal travel.

I stayed here with my girlfriend and we both loved it. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well appointed with an excellent shower. Towels and good quality toiletries are provided. The hotel is in Zurich old town and although it's a busy area with lots of nearby shops, bars and restaurants, street noise could not be heard in our room and we slept soundly in the large and comfy bed.
The breakfast was delicious - with fresh fruit, cheese and meat - since it was a sunny day so we ate it on the terrace.
I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.response / report this review
