Reception is very friendly. Very willing to help. Breakfast is simple yet very filling. Very centralise location. You can hear nice water flowing if your room facing the canal which help calm oneself. The room is very clean. I stay for 2 days. Highly recommended.
I was having breakfast and checking out. Taking the 7.37am train to Interlaken. I totally forgotten about my backpack which i left in the resturant.
The staff bring it all the way to the train station to me when i didnt even realise i didnt take my backpack. Absolutely great n kind of them.. i am so thankful that i didnt have to go back and get it. Thanks Staff of Excelsior.response / report this review -

very good for location and price. we got the south facing room with balcony overlooking the matterhorn. it was extremely mindblowing.

Centrally located, comes with large complimentary​ breakfast. They have a safe ski and boot locker room that is large and free of charge. Easy walking distance to everywhere in town. Has a free shuttle service to the train station. Friendly and helpful staff that speak multiple languages.

This is the most comfortable, clean and well maintained three star hotel we have experienced in our two week holiday in Switzerland. It's Junior Suite is well designed for spacious use. Good enough to fit four persons. The washroom is clean, bright and new. The lobby has a cosy charm and its people are friendly and helpful. Most helpful of them to have included a safe, conveniently located wall plugs and specially designed two-way open windows that allow cool air to enter the room from the top of the window instead of only allowing them to be opened outwards which will be too cold for the night. It is located about 10min away from the train station.
