Heard from many different people that this place does the best fondue in Geneva. Finally went there and it was just the best! Both inside and outside don't look very fancy, giving the place a very cozy, home atmosphere. And the fondue and dessert were perfect. On top of all of that the staff was very nice, our waiter was professional but easy-going, making us feel very welcome. Also spoke very fluent English. I will continue to recommending this place to everyone who's coming to Geneva.
BUG IN FONDUE | I noticed a little black spot on the fondue but took nothing of it, thought it was part of it. After eating for a couple of minutes, I decided to investigate and take it out. Turns out to be a little bug, the size of a seed. We told the waiter and he took my plate and didn't feel to do anything about it. We sat there as the fire burned out and decided we should just get the bill hoping they'd discount us but was reluctant to do as they thought we should have told them first thing but then took off the charge for the water we ordered. The waiters were forced-friendly but not genuine. The service is inefficient. The venue looked cozy.
Casual, cozy, informal but efficient service. The place has been around forever (I remember going there as a teen in the 1980's), but remains one of the best places for cheese fondue in Geneva. Crowded on a Tuesday night, so reserve ahead of time.
It's the worst lunch I ever had. We had fundue and it tastes very bad! The strong wine almost makes me puke. We two order a small pot and it's very expensive. The old woman is not very nice. I will never vist that cafe again!
Incredible. A little crowded in places but the food is brilliant. Friendly staff as well. Get the fondue. It is really good. I would recommend 4 portions between 6 people with average appetites. I would recommend the sorbets as they are very tasty. Lovely atmosphere. Would recommend. Hoping to go again.
I spent a year working in Geneva in 1982my friends and I spent an enormous amount of time here eating the traditional fondue, drinking wine and enjoying the lovely atmosphere. My husband (who I met in Geneva) and I have been back twice since, most recently in 2012. The fondue nor the atmosphere have changed. I would highly recommend it and would advise you to book as it can get very busy.
Very very good fondue! I really like the 'malakoff' too and the salad that came with it. The service was pretty slow though.
Ventured here based on reviews of their fondue and was not disappointed. Bit pricey but that's Switzerland. Staff were friendly and atmosphere was very nice.
Very welcoming staff, good food, okay interior, a little old/too "rustique".
Nice place for a romantic evening. One of the best chefs in town will not let you go hungry.
First of all we did not book ahead and turned up at 8pm with a group of 9. Surprisingly we got sat very promptly after a slight wait. But you should definitely book if you're thinking of going. The service was really good and if you enjoy stuffing your face with melted cheese this place is for you. Everything is reasonably priced for being in Geneva. The steaks looked really good, but as everywhere in Geneva if you order medium rare it will come out still quite bloody
Local French cuisine that is about as authentic as anything these days. Fondue was good but not cheap (€24 per person).
Terrible service and the food leaves a lot to be desired. The high rating is undeserving. They did accommodate us without a booking although they made us move table after ordering. I'd look elsewhere for a enjoyable experience.
